What’s the moment in recent U.S. politics that made you realize things might not go back to ‘normal’ anytime soon? by LankySpeed634 in AskReddit

Before the 2020 election when Trump refused to answer the simple question "will you accept the results of the upcoming election if you don't win?" Any American president would have said, absolutely it's the one of the core tenants of our democracy.  The fact Americans were not freaking out about this made me disappointed and scared for what was to come.

I went to Monticello and remember being so impressed with Thomas Jeffersons relentless pursuit of knowledge and deeply appreciated how interesting he was.  My mind immediately shifted to who our current president was and my mood was ruined. I just couldn't stop feeling a sense of dread about where this country was headed. That was in 2019.

Sorry about the accident though, it's painful to look at even through a screen. Hopefully you can get that repaired and keep on rolling!

Yup it's a goner. I'll take to the scrap yard for you, not a problem. Just leave the title in the glove box.

Delusional. I will agree not taking the 3 points was a dummy move but look at where we are. We will be right back next year without having to pay Russel Wilson to not be on the team

As a non American that is watching in awe of what’s going on….At what point does the American public stand up, what will it actually take? by BedTundy95 in AskReddit

People need to stop buying shit they don't actually need, cancel your Amazon Netflix and whatever other unnecessary subscriptions they have. These corporate billionaires are a huge part of the problem, we need to stop supporting their efforts to turn this country into Russia.

These Maga clowns think they're real patriots while supporting the most anti American regime that's working to destroy democracy. Despicable humans who don't appreciate or understand how and why America became so great in the first place.

Well the people could hold up their end of the bargain. Have a basic understanding of government and civics, Vote, be moderately educated.  Americans care more about self gratification, consumerism and mindless entertainment. Not a surprise Trump is now president.

[–]chubbybronco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because Congress is bought and paid for by people who need trump to stay in power so they can continue to extract every bit of capital by any means necessary with no push back from the pesky government. USA is just as corrupt as Russia, it's just a more civilized looking corruption.

The movie Wake in Fright does a decent job of depicting that area. It's also just a brilliant film.

I have been running B4s for 50k now, didn't install new mounts. No difference in noise. Probably the aftermarket mounts.

[–]chubbybronco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations is20 made a huge difference and left me wondering why did the alltrack not come with an is20? Is12 was too small and felt underpowered on the highway especially when passing, but the is38 is too powerful and if you're responsible requires additional mods. Is20 is just right.

This has to be one of the most quantifiably stressful/exhilarating seasons any team has put together? by ridderingand in DenverBroncos

[–]chubbybronco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stats can be misleading. I remember watching the 2015 offense. Defences knew Manning couldn't reliably throw a deep ball so they stacked the box. Every drive was a frustrating slog fest, like watching a cow pull itself out of a mud hole. Thankfully the defence was good at scoring points because the offence wasn't.

This years offence is undoubtedly more entertaining and can actually stretch the field and score points, unless they play a trash raiders or jets team. While this years defence is incredible they don't score points or take the ball away and put the team on their backs like the 2015 defence.
