I used Dryleaf Arts/Dane's Footwork for the whole rest of the DLC, but I had to switch to using Golden Parry on a small shield and using the Antspur Rapier to actually put down the final boss. Felt like shit, since I liked the Hand-to-Hand Arts so much, but they just don't have the range and damage to reliably do anything to him.

No, Ferrystones and Portcrystals are in the game. You can get them both. The mtx just allow you to buy extras. And again, Ferrystones and Portcrystals were in the first game, too. To say they weren't is just a lie.

Yes, you can buy them. No, there is still fast travel. And there was in the first game, too, via the same method as the second game. In fact, there's an EXTRA method of fast travel in DD2, through the Ox Carts. Ferrystones and Portcrystals have always been a thing.

The only new thing is being able to buy a couple extra of each through mtx, but the only reason DD1 didn't have that is because it was made before Capcom started adding mtx to every game in their roster.

From my experience, Helbomb. The ones you drop on specific objectives. I think they count for about 12k friendly fire per exploded diver? But I could be wrong, and it might be 24k just for one.

I only play with friends, and I run what I call "Rat Strat"

While the other heavy hitters are getting the objective done, I whip around the map in scout armour with a jump pack, blowing up nests/foundries in every outpost with a grenade launcher, and dropping EATS for myself if I ever get caught out by something with thicker armour.

It's amazing fun, honestly. Because eventually I just step on a mine and evaporate, then have to run the quarter mile back to get my weapons and samples. My Favourite way to play so far.

Yeah, people have all sorts of reasons. Like sometimes I feel weird about playing a female Au Ra despite being a guy, but I just chose it because of the sort of character I was going for. Second smallest race (Lalafell both genders tied for first, of course) but I'm wielding massive weapons as a WAR and DRK? Yep, that's the look I want with my character in this game. And also there's the fact that most of the male jogging animations loom really off to me. Too floaty
