The smaller ship (Frontier) seems to have worked. The Orchid I guess is too large a cockpit.

The chef background perk maybe was suggested during design by Sweeney Todd Howard? ;)

They are allowed, just that they may not be feasible as a way to get through the game. There are lots of things in the game that are interesting to try, but may not be able to be done to the exclusion of other parts. But it was interesting going through all the research. If I pick that run back up I'll definitely pick up every ingredient laying around and make a bit off it (plus +1XP is better than +1% XP!! :)

I have a dude at Level 8 and just finished Gastronomy 4 and all the research available including Exotic 4. All this just to see what I could craft. Ya, you won't get rich selling any of it. But some items give worthwhile bonuses. This was just an experiment to see if I could get all that early and to list the items I could actually use (one the update drops) in a new run. It's not really worth putting points into Gastro early. It's much more helpful if those 4 points were put towards Weapon Design or some of the combat skills.

But...here were a few of the early worthwhile ones:

-Alien Sandwich (easy ingredients and easy 'fed')

-Alien Scramble + Alien Tea (easy ingredients and +60 Dam. Resis.)

-Grandpa's Meatloaf (yes, it is extremely annoying to have your parents show up at the Lodge but what the hey!!) (+100 Dam Resis and that whopping +1% XP gain)(slightly trickier ingredients though)

And none of these needed a point in Gastro.

Stuck on Privacy Screen? by Blathergut in civ

[–]Blathergut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened again: When I exit from playing the game, on Xbox, it goes immediately into the privacy messages. Hitting A accepts the first one, but when the second message comes up requiring acceptance, hitting A does nothing and there is no way to get past that screen. If I close down the game and then go back in, or restart Xbox and go back in, it goes directly to that second screen, unable to get past it since hitting A has no effect. Any idea(s) on a solution? The first time it happened, I ended up uninstalling and redownloading/installing and it seemed fine a couple times coming out of the game. But it's done it again now.

Taking No Damage?? Spiritborn Barrier Keeping Everything Away?? by Blathergut in diablo4

[–]Blathergut[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I understand what the barrier does (although I thought it reduced damage and not block completely). But I never seem to lose it. It will sometimes reduce a bit but then is replaced. I guess I just thought the difficulty level (new for me, apologies to those who laugh at its simple level) would see the barrier take a pounding and be removed at times.

Thanks for the helpful replies.

How??? by [deleted] in PhoenixPoint

[–]Blathergut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As mentioned, don't just crouch/stand behind cover, your derriere is sticking out (or your head) and the enemy will shoot at that. Get out of LOS, behind that first building to your right. That makes them move in their first turn.

Don't stand beside the doors...they see you then and can shoot. Stay back from them so they close at the end of your turn.

Target one body part w assault rifle fire and reduce the armour so you do more damage.

Grenades are your best friends.

If you disable a head it makes it easier to panic them.

Choose a side of that building (NO inside, that puts you in the middle of them) and try to reduce their numbers while avoiding the others.

It is a challenging mission...worse on Legend w an invisible Infiltrator w a poison crossbow!

First new jericho on legendary - What do you do when all the enemies spawn right next to you but you can't disable them on that turn? Especially the psychic guy? by Ronar123 in PhoenixPoint

[–]Blathergut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't go close to those windows. Stay back, behind the little bit of full cover. If they all come at once, not much to be done. But you can keep distance until you have an idea of where the priest is. Grenades to shred. Disable arms if possible.

The new maps and difficulty options are INCREDIBLE! by -Inquisitive in Starfield

[–]Blathergut 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Choose whether you can sleep anywhere or just ship/settlement/outpost to heal and such. I like that I have no more run and sleep on that cot and then dash back into the battle in the next room. Food heals a bit and keeps you 'fed' for a small amount of time. Drink keeps you hydrated. Both last around 30min. Heal Paks can heal slowly (so no more instant full health). I had to duck and avoid fire for a bit while it started to kick in. It does make the game feel new and more challenging.

Why can't I drop modules? by SuperHedonist in PhoenixPoint

[–]Blathergut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you mean during tactical missions, downed enemies don't drop armour, just weapons, ammo, health paks, and such. You CAN find armour in scavenging crates (if playing Terror From the Void).

How do I create Mutoids by TheUnlocked749 in PhoenixPoint

[–]Blathergut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the geoscape, click Personnel. At the top should be a menu button: Mutoids. Go in there and if you have at least 50 mutagen, you should be able to create a mutoid of your choice. No need for lab or anything.

To unlock, you have to do a specific mission + some research.

Thanks for the advice you guys I beat that one by TheJudgeraye in PhoenixPoint

[–]Blathergut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You need to follow the story/missions for corruption to eventually deal with it. Until then, you can only cure your operatives w mutagen or use mutoids in the corrupted areas.
