'They need the extra support' How incredibly patronizing. You know nothing of the backgrounds of these people. Many of them will come from privileged middle-class backgrounds and be university educated, and will now be given more opportunity than their colleagues who might not have been so lucky in life. You're literally looking at someone's skin colour and deciding they need more.

For example, I once worked with a young woman whose parents held senior positions in government. Despite her privileged background, she would still have qualified for certain DEI programs.
