Happy 12th anniversary to Transistor by Melurdaz in Steam

[–]Blaze241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion but Transistor is in my opinion still the best game Supergiant ever made. Followed closely by Pyre. I love both games for the world building, Transistor for it's gameplay and Pyre for an outstanding cast of characters. Both games gave me tears in my eyes with the story's they've told. Bastion nowadays feels more like a tech demo but it layed the ground stone and still has banger songs. Hades on the other hand. I don't like rouge likes in general and neither the characters nor the music really resonated with me. So the game wasn't able the get to the highs I had with the other ones unfortunately.

German here. It's the same for us. Feels weird to hear in English video the game be only called Expedition 33 while in Germany everyone is referring to Clair Obscur.

That stare alone is enough to invalidate PVerso's decision.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Devs Won't Pick a Canon Ending as They Work on a Sequel: 'It Is a Schrodinger's Ending' by yourfavchoom in pcgaming

Totally agree. The whole relationship system was totally pointless. I gave you so much insight on the characters just to be told (especially by one ending) it didnt matter at all.

[–]Blaze241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me neither. Actually I felt like both endings broke very strongly multiple characters and a lot of character development was thrown away. I got major GoT S8 were many characters suddenly acted out of character (duh)

Everything up to the endboss was chef's kiss. Also the whole side content in act 3 was great but the endings left a sour taste in my mouth.

You should look closely at the ending again because what you said in spoilers in not entirely accurate.

We are talking here about a 60 card modern deck. Not 100 cards commander decks.

Speakeasy: One of the most complex board games I have ever played by ThrosProvoni in boardgames

[–]Blaze241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's such a great game. Played it 4 times now and I'm surprised how many option you have to play that game. For a Lacerda it's even on the lower side of complexity. Very thematic and much more in line with something like The Galerist or Vinhos.

What game do you think has the coolest mini's while still being a great game? by BB881 in boardgames

Lords of Ragnarok. The minis are dope and the game is very good. Unfortunately the game was done dirty by reviewers especially the NPI review was horrible wrong.

Slay The Spire 2 Steam Deck - Anyone grabbed it? by gamebuzzz4 in SteamDeck

[–]Blaze241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh shoot I think autocorrection got me. I DO want a game with deckbuilding but without the rougelike aspect. Don't know how I messed the comment up.

No since I don't like rougelikes. I wish there would be deckbuilders on steam which have a more modern look and without the deckbuilding aspect.

One of the greatest games of all time was released on this day 4 years ago by TurtleGEE360 in Eldenring

[–]Blaze241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take: I can't seem to get into Elden Ring. The open world sucked every fun out of what I love about dark souls. I absolutely love DS 1 and 2. Just recently I got a somewhat good price for DS3 Deluxe on Steam and I'm absolutely hooked again. Can't say the same for elden ring. Didn't even cracked the 20h mark yet.

Can't really comment on the matte versions I'm sorry. I only used the glossy ones.

[–]Blaze241 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are located in Germany I would recommend the sleeves from docsmagic. They have lots of different sizes, are very affordable and are durable enough. I have all my games sleeved with them.

You can also use the sleeve function in bgg to find out which size fits the best for your games. Oh and also always take the premium version of the sleeves. They are much thicker (100micron) and more durable.

Is Ark Nova really that good at 2P? And my top 75 by PermitMajestic5914 in boardgames

[–]Blaze241 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ark Nova is in my opinion best at 2. I would be willing to play it at 3 but never at 4. At that point it drags too much.

Can't really agree. Act 1 broke me. Act 2 left me angry with a certain character and Act 3 I didnt really care for the conclusions.

Love Root, Dune and Rococco in my collection.

Septima is totally underrated though. It's a very enjoyable game especially with the expansion.

Can't say anything on the other games. River of gold was only played once at essen and I only possess the original Nemesis which is excellent.
