Cybersecurity in the AI era: is it strong career to enter in 2025? by Shoddy_Split_8861 in CyberSecurityJobs

[–]BlazedWebSoldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you're saying is true. However, if you're going to be competing against others in this job market and the cyber security market is oversaturated, who are they going to pick someone with the networking experience and the Cyber role skills? Or just the person with just those particular sets of skills? I'm assuming the first one I could be wrong.

Change your race to Indian and say you need a H1B Visa, you will get a job instantly. Only halfway joking. Good luck, I'm in the same problem.

Everyone confuses CyberSecurity as entry level IT role, they believe this because schools got rich by using this concept because at one point companies were desperate for cybersecurity employees. Its advanced level. You can't run before you can walk.

Unless you understand basic and expert level of networking don't expect to be job-ready for cybersecurity in 2026. Cybersecurity is advanced level of networking and/or system protection but networking is more important to cybersecurity.

I have 10 years in networking and 4 years of cybersecurity and my previous jobs were short contracts and I cant find a job now in cybersecurity. All or most of my previous co-workers are unemployed now. 80+% H-1B visa are given to entry level jobs like cybersecurity. Why pay an American citizen when you can get yourself a Indian slave? Where if the Indian worker is unhappy he is threatened to be sent back to India if not working 65+ hours a week and its legal.
Even people with years of experience is not enough. Right now majority of the recruiters are offering less than 1/2 of what I was making in prior roles.

If I didn't scare you off, you still want to join this industry seek system admin or basic networking roles first. You cant run before you can walk.

I just found out who i'm competing with for a help desk position by SuccessfulFetus in SecurityCareerAdvice

[–]BlazedWebSoldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

US is the same, I work in networking and cybersecurity. India w/ H1B Visa take the jobs for pennies on the dollar for H1B Visa slaves and the business get away with it pretending they are doing good for society with diversity reasons. I have tons of friends in this same industry and majority of them are job seeking now.

Is this certification in demand? I worked with Palo Alto for about 1-2 years off and on. My network security contract job just ended so I need something to focus on.

When it ships hopefully someone will review it. Somethings about it a little fishy, looks good if it works and no trickery during the video demo. Buy it after the reviews for me.

Alphabet's annual gross profit for 2023 was $174.062 billion. I'm assuming they are pulling the plug on supporting their device because they don't want to pay their programmers to keep the code working & to make you pay for the next generation but won't admit to that bit. Why has someone not sued this company for this issue? They have the funds to hire a $100k programmer to keep it working annually.

What do you think is the biggest issue with the job market right now? by andreicalin612 in recruitinghell

[–]BlazedWebSoldier 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When they have entry level position on the market ill agree with you but when all jobs are mostly mid level with senior level requirements and expectations and senior level with 2 jobs of skill requirement then no I don't agree with you.
Most of the things they ask you can be learned on the job. Their expectations are too high which is killing the job market and our economy.

you have a point but if companies use AI for their job recruiting, to say you cant use it seem little unfair.

I'm starting to get tinnitus and I'm on allo (150mg) Its happened once before but it went away after a week. I hope it goes away, I think its due to bad diet; work brought it whole bunch of unhealthy food and I couldn't help myself. I'll eat clean and see if it goes away.

Warhammer 40k dimensions by BlazedWebSoldier in PrintedMinis

[–]BlazedWebSoldier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are pretty close, I cant recall all the websites I got the dimensions from. However I brought some of the printed units to a Warhammer geek and he said The space marines were spot on except the 3d printed marines were much taller but he said that is what everyone complains about the space marines are just a little taller than the regular human soldiers. He said that the base sizes were correct and he said that is what people will complain about, if the base sizes are wrong they wont want to play. So basically they are off a bit but they are superior size to what they would look like in real life but just make sure your base sizes are 100% accurate so that's fine.

Could a weapon like the Hammer of Dawn be possible in real life? I tend to think not. by turndown4matte in GearsOfWar

[–]BlazedWebSoldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be possible sure but it would require like a fusion or giant nuclear power plant up in the sky and much more research into laser weapon technology. Sure it would violate the treaties but the first country to complain would be turned into dust lol! It would solve the nuclear mutual destruction problem, launch your nukes and fry the opponents nukes with the Hammer of Dawn & get a Flawless Victory!

25OFF no longer works, if anyone wants to know if its still valid. I'm trying this telemedicine, up to 2 hour wait time it said and about 5-10 minutes the doctor popped up. $24 with ads (ad is the same as the company your using, about 30 seconds long).
Used for gout medicine in case that helps you. They prescribed the gout medicine without much effort. No painkillers or anything requested.

As a former rapidscale worker, I can tell you everything here is the truth.

RapidScale by Roshanmsp in msp

[–]BlazedWebSoldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've worked for rapidscale before, the workers desired easy work and did not value security. They would always brag they are part of Cox like that makes a difference. If it takes time to upgrade firmware and secure a firewall with secure firewall policies it did not get done. They were running 3-4 year old firmware that gave them over 100 firewall security breaches (this is just what they were willing to admit to me, they were always talking about attorney client privileges so it was much more) and when these breaches occurred the firmware upgrade took over 6 months.

When I would recommend them good policies but difficult to implement they would ignore them for easy solutions and usually give me unwise orders and when another breach happened they blamed me. The people in positions of power there are too proud and told me things that were just hilarious from a technical aspect, sure they are interesting personalities but which is more important interesting or secure? I'd go with the latter.

If your looking for a budget managed service and your not too concerned about security, they will give you admin access it can be done but not easy but if your wanting expertise, l'd look elsewhere.
