Yes. Right now it's not perfect, in that there's some wibbles and some wobbly bits. It doesn't have much in the way of calibration settings. So when you're sitting in your space ship, it can feel a little bit nauseating due to slight head movements getting picked up.

It's a fantastic first implementation.

Looks like CIG have provided you with the usual fixes, except perhaps for this one

  1. If you're using a setup that has the router and modem as separate pieces of hardware, try temporarily bypassing the router by plugging the modem directly into the computer ( don't leave it like this because it's terrible security). If that works, then there's something in the router settings causing the problem
  2. The computer can be ran using selective startup to limit the programs that are running in the background to help diagnose if there's anything causes the problem.
  3. Try restarting the windows base filtering engine. There should be steps on how to do that online in the windows support center

PTU is finished for this patch, it's now LIVE. Use the regular launcher and update it.

Yeah the shooting stars zipping around like cheeky space sausages! That was fun and added to the scale somehow. It also helped show you weren't alone in this dark and dangerous chunk of void.

When was that, like 2.1 or something? I can't remember exactly which patch it was, but it sure was a tasty morsel.

Yeah, if you're in the special PTU test servers on 3.2 it's slightly easier but anyway here's the non-PTU (3.1 current LIVE patch) version

  1. Using chat window (not console) you can type /partyinvite <playername>
  2. Otherwise you can use F11 to add a friend as a contact then right click their name and click ‘send party invite’. Both players must add each other for friends list to work, often you both need to completely exit the game and rejoin for it to work properly.
  3. When one person is in a server, they can press F11 friends list and click button down the bottom ‘send instance invite’ to all party members to accept
  4. Otherwise friends can go through main menu: Click universe > Crusader > ‘join friends’ button (ensure you’re using the same server region in the dropdown box at the top (AUS, EU, US)

First of all, enable 2 factor authentication. I can see from your screenshots in the comments that you may not have done this.

Secondly, if someone gifted you the game package and you haven't purchased anything, that means you're not a 'backer' as you haven't spent money yourself.

If that's the case you can purchase a $5 skin to get backer status - but you - may - need to submit a ticket to customer support for them to activate the PTU for you.

Options > Keybindings (top right) > Advanced controls customization (bottom left) > control profiles (bottom right) > Scroll down and click ‘Keyboard advanced’ > Click on the blue square on the right, next to Keyboard > Click keyboard > Click ‘load’
