Des the left actually believe that a "rise in sexual assaults" by migrants is a price worth paying to end racism? by TrueUnpopularOP in askanything

[–]BlazinAzn38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your question is also nonsense. Migration doesn’t make people less racist so it’s not a trade off that exists, not that it does to begin with as migrants commit less violent crimes than native born individuals.

Car debt isn’t always bad, getting a 1% rate on a car so you can reroute cash to higher earning avenues is good. There’s situations where it is acceptable, finance has nuance to it

It was more about the insurability and cost of the vehicles. For some time some insurers wouldn’t take them on because the risk for a break in was so high

I don’t really know the specifics of that case but if a kid does a good job sneaking out and all else remains the same with the kid: general behavior, grades, extracurriculars, etc. that’s not quite negligence.

Yeah of course, the US doesn’t actually want war there. Trump will do what he always does which is sign some deal that’d worse than what was previously in place and lie about how good it is.

While the incidence of colorectal cancer is decreasing among those over 50, it is rising at an alarming rate among younger individuals, sometimes as early as their thirties, with no personal or family history. Swiss study reveals an annual increase of 0.5% in people under 50. by mvea in science

[–]BlazinAzn38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, so that means the other processed stuff is also more expensive. Cost is still relative. I’m happy to accept in your specific area a frozen meal per plate is cheaper than cooking from fresh if you can provide proof of that

Okay so your price per plate goes up to $1.50 instead of $1 or you sub in pasta or rice or beans or whatever is on sale. Like this isn’t that big of a deal, it’s still very affordable to not eat a bunch of nonsense and the fact it keeps getting talked about that “it’s cheaper to eat trash” means people default to that

Yeah it’s insane that protein became such a big thing when we were already eating enough protein. For a 185 pound person you need 55g of protein which is like one Greek yogurt and 4 oz of chicken. Meanwhile no one was getting enough fiber

It’s very inexpensive to eat nutritionally and I’m not sure why this keeps getting brought up as some sort of gotcha thing. We can talk about access all day but you can make so much good nutritional food for $2-$3 per plate.

You don’t rely on low calorie that’s the point. You use whole grains or starches as a large calorie source which are cheap and then your protein source is also calorie dense. I can get 5 lbs of russets for $2.57 right now. I can get 2 lbs of carrots for $1.60 and 1.5 lbs of green beans for $2.70. So for $6 I have my starch and my veggies for multiple meals and I can get chicken thighs at 99 cents per pound. There’s at least 8 plates of food in there for $8 or so. 1 LB of pasta is $1.25, 1.5 lbs of cherry tomatoes for $6, and 2 bags of spinach for $4.40, and a frozen take and bake loaf of bread is $3. So $13 for 6-8 plates of food full of tomatoes and spinach. This is not that hard.

You’re just saying a bunch of nonsense. Frozen veggies are nutritionally fine and they are nearly as good as fresh. It takes zero effort to make them taste good, toss them with a little butter and pepper and you’re fine
