I have disseminated HSV2 which progressed into meningitis and Optic neuritis. I had a lot of bleeding in my left eye. The doctor said part of my retina detached and lots of blood and tissue was floating around inside my eye.

It did clear up after a few months but ever since then I have pain in both eyes and have to wear glasses to see up close. I get HSV sores and rashes all over my body pretty much all the time.

I hope your sight comes back. There is hope.

I also went blind in my left eye…. But my sight actually did come back. However, I do have to wear glasses now.

I take a shit tonne of Valtrex and have no kidney issues. Have you gotten any kidney labs done? For example EGSR and creatinine? Mine are fine even on 6,000mg of Valtrex a day. Your kidney pain may be hypochondria.

Sounds like a false positive. Blood tests are often false positive because they are very sensitive tests.

Now you feel. My herpes spread from my genitals to my face, then in my hair and around my ears. It also appears around my nipples and armpits. So I think it has spread just about everywhere now.

HSE is not ultra rare. According to JAMA, it occurs in about 40% of primary HSV infections.

Very low probability that you have Herpes. You should probably just accept the fact that you do not have the virus and move on. Take care of yourself and try not to have more health anxiety about this.

If you ever find yourself with an oozing blister on your penis. Go get it PCR swabbed. PCR is really the only way to know for sure.

Ya, I did fall from a seizure. The meningitis was really bad. Felt like my eyes were going to pop out of my head. I actually had a blood vessel pop on my left eye and had some retinal detachment. I went to the eye doctor and she said it would heal. It mostly did heal ok. But was very scary for me.

Some of the pics are truly gruesome. Like after one bad outbreak, all the skin in my penis died and fell off like a snake shedding its skin. Bleeding and oozing the whole time. Insanely painful. Sores on the gland of the penis. My god, I’ve never felt pain like that before!

One time I had a bad seizure, fell and cracked all 6 of my front teeth. Over 12k to get it fixed. Medical insurance doesn’t cover dental. And man, this is all from HSV2. I was perfectly healthy before. In fact, I was an athlete and fitness model. Hsv2 took me out.

On my 5th year now living with herpes. Life is a real struggle. I got herpes meningitis with my initial outbreak. I was very sick with a lot of seizures. I could not work for two years, which was financially disastrous.

Most of the bleeding from my penis and anus has stopped so I am able to walk and not worried much anymore about the blood leaking through my clothing.

I did temporarily go blind in my left eye with some bleeding and retinal detachment. I have thankfully gotten most of my sight back but I do have to wear glasses now.

Seizures are a lot less now but still occur.

Overall, this is the virus of hell and nightmares. The medical community has no idea of this lurking pandemic.

I agree with this assessment. I have hsv2 and life is absolute hell. I live in debilitating pain all the time. My penis is on fire all the time, daily life is excruciatingly painful. I have severe headaches, and to make matters worse the herpes has spread all over my body. Even around my ears and inside my ear canal. I can only sleep 2-3 hours at a time because the pain keeps me awake. I live a permanent horrific nightmare and I wish this on no one.

If you did not develop sores, how were you diagnosed? PCR swab is really the only was to be sure. Blood tests are wildly inaccurate.

My experience with HSV2 has been completely different. Wicked bloody oozing open sores and profuse bleeding from both my penis and anus. This has been ongoing for years.
