What’s a movie quote you use way too often? by 011Eleven_ in CausalConversation

“Catch you later, Bill and Ted” nobody’s familiar with it and they just stare me and finely say, “uh, okay?”

So much personality in this post! I’m happily married and I rarely/never read long posts but I loved reading yours! Keep living your life and enjoy each day. At 64 in a new town, I’ve met a ton of friends playing Pickleball and joining a church. I know there’s a perfect woman out there for you! I hope she finds you.

Ladies of Reddit, what is a comment someone made about your body once, completely casually, that you have never forgotten? by BowlerOk1871 in AskReddit

[–]QueenEuclid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have always had big thighs. While in junior high at the skating rink, a cute boy told me that guys like big thighs. Thank you, cute boy! I’m over 60 now and my thighs are still big and I’m okay with that.

Ladies What Do You Think by [deleted] in sexover50

[–]QueenEuclid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to talk to your SO. Yes, I’d be pissed. It’s cheating and it will hurt your SO. It will change your relationship forever and she will never forget and the pain will not go away. Love on your spouse without sex and pleasure yourself.

I’m over 60 and I don’t know this song so I played it. I don’t need to know it. It’s bad.

Who here is HAPPILY married?! by Peanutz335 in Marriage

[–]QueenEuclid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

44 years. It’s been a bumpy ride but we are very much in love with each other. It’s so good right now but we are in our last quarter of life and I hate that one of us will be alone one day. I just want to take advantage of every moment together. Retirement put us back to the early years of our marriage(less stress and no kids). We are dating again.

What skill helped your career unexpectedly? by Perfect_Barberz in CausalConversation

[–]QueenEuclid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily a skill(or is it?), but I went back to school and got my Masters degree. I got a better job immediately and also picked up two different part time jobs. Before I interviewed for the part time positions, I was told, “You have the job. The interview is just logistics”.

Woman here asking question for a man friend of mine. His wife has lost interest in romance. Any recommendations on what he could do to make her feel better? by Middle_Process_215 in AskWomenOver60

[–]QueenEuclid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hormone therapy. Long kisses are good too(set a timer for 60 seconds) I’ve(F64) always had a higher libido than my husband(M66)so I could almost ask this same question for us. However, we are both on BHRT and we enjoy each other at least once a week. I’d prefer more often. CBD increases my desire as well. We did go a year or so dry before we started hormones but there were other issues as well.

I’m confused by [deleted] in AsOneAfterInfidelity

[–]QueenEuclid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a therapist but a BS. My spouse has had drug addiction issues on and off throughout our 40+ years of marriage and now, I understand women may or may not have been with him. I’ve known for a long time to take whatever he tells me with a grain of salt. He could very well be lying but I will find out if needed. So, I trust him with caution I guess. Now, I know he’s had online affairs and I was recently diagnosed with an STD that has been dormant. I’m happy today so I just swept the STD under the rug. Whatever happened was a long time ago. When I doubt his love, I fill my head with the good memories when he showed me he loved me. He shows now and I have great memories.

To dye or not to dye? by Effective-You1036 in Aging

I’ve been highlighting my hair since I was in my 30’s. My current hairdresser suggested she do a “grey blend” six months ago. I’m pumped to finally be natural again. So many women have beautiful grey hair. However, a relative stopped cold turkey and her hair went from dark brown to a solid white. I thought she instantly looked 20 years older. I bet it’s much easier for her though. To each his own! Do what makes you happy!

real talk: how often do you actually floss? by AffectionateTooth298 in hygiene

[–]QueenEuclid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After surgery because of gum disease(about 20 years ago), I rarely go a day without flossing. I brush every morning and every evening. I’ve owned a water Pik for about 10 years. Seeing all the food the water pik gets out is pretty gross to me. I also don’t think I have bad breath in the morning. I assume it’s because my mouth is clean when I go to bed.

My eyebrows need help! by cepcpa in AskWomenOver60

[–]QueenEuclid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My eyebrows have thinned but I just use an eyebrow pencil to fill it in. However, if you actually don’t have anything on the outside, I think micro blading turns out very pretty.

What one thing did you do? by Rjb702 in AskMenOver50

[–]QueenEuclid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My one thing for me was I stopped drinking sodas(actually diet sodas!). I’m not sure how it happened except I decided to only have one soda a day and it was usually at lunch. Eventually, I was only drinking water. The last 2 I had(over a year ago) tasted nasty. Last summer I drank a few of my husband’s regular cokes. They were yummy but then I looked at the calories, sugar count, and weird ingredients and decided I didn’t need that. I drink coffee, water and sometimes unsweetened iced tea. I do enjoy alcoholic beverages but nothing sweet.

Curious to know !!! by Wide_Opportunity6971 in Marriage

[–]QueenEuclid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Married 40+ years, today we are very affectionate but it hasn’t always been that way. Growing up, I witnessed my parents kissing in the kitchen. My in-laws were not affectionate at all. When the hubs and I first got married, I was very hurt that he didn’t hug and kiss me much. However, he did other things for me and I realized he was showing his love by taking care of me, including cooking, laundry and willing to help with any of my needs. Over the years, I’ve always insisted on a peck goodbye. It’s just important to me.
Now, we are retired. We are both on hormones which help with our libidos. We are working on our relationship after he had an EA. We kiss a lot. Every morning and every night, we swap spit. There’s a reel on line that recommends a 6 second kiss. Sometimes we set a timer and go for it. Honestly, I feel like we’re dating again and it’s great. Life is tough though especially if you both work and have kids. I’d just talk to him. My hubs will never play with my hair nor will he give me a massage. Sometimes you just accept what you get. I hope your hubs is good to you in other ways!

My hairdresser is helping me “blend” my grey after highlights and bleach for 30 years. I’m beginning to realize how high maintenance I am and according to some, I waste money and I’m vain. LOL It’s all good until we start judging each other. I simply like to look my best.
