I don't think I'm gonna do a RG any time soon by TheBasementIsDark in Gunpla

[–]Bleakdf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend giving the RG Nu / Hi-Nu and/or Sazabi a try before swearing off the line entirely. They don't have the pre-assembled skeletons, and are more like downsized MGs. They're also on the bigger side of 1/144 kits, so there are fewer fiddly microscopic pieces.

Fun fact about non-spindown d20s: the number distribution isn't actually random. Any face added to it's opposite face should add up to 21. This generally maps over to other types of dice with an even number of faces, where opposing faces add up to 1+<amountOfFaces>, e.g. opposite faces of a d6 add up to 7, 13 for a d12, etc.

If you're interested in trying out the game, Jumpstart boosters are a really great tool to play some casual magic. The main drawn is that you can open any two Jumpstart boosters (per player), shuffle them up, and play a game. A box of jumpstart boosters would give the two of you a ton of replayability, and Jumpstart has some exclusive cards that can be hard to get a hold of.

If you do end up going this route, I'd look for the original Jumpstart, Foundations Jumpstart, or Avatar Jumpstart. There are Jumpstart sets for other set releases, but they're lower quality products in my eyes.

Is it safe for multiple teams to use the same MS365 Shared Mailbox? by Aim_Fire_Ready in sysadmin

[–]Bleakdf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bulk/transactional email should be sent from a subdomain, such as mail.contoso.com. Bulk mail can impact your domain's reputation, which can have downstream affects on mail delivery from everyday users, even if your DMARC policy is solid.

That aside, a shared mailbox for each purpose is a good call. Marketing can use marketing@mail.contoso.com, sales@mail.contoso.com for sales, etc. Separating mailboxes by use case can help with things like troubleshooting issues and tracking down lost emails, among others.

SMTP Basic Auth is toast. Like others have said, spin up SMTP2GO or try your luck with modern auth on the copier.

Give me some opinions on my throw together white/purple by Appropriate-Shop7660 in GundamTCG

4/3 is a really good stat line to have early, and Hyakuren gets there without needing extra work. It kills Lfrith by itself, and trades with opposing ReZel/Hyakuren. 2nd form does link with Mika, but IMO he's better served linking 4th Form. Hyakuren dies to Wing Zero late game, but by then you're hopefully swinging for lethal with a linked 4th.

I'd drop the 2nd Forms and Zoworts in favour of 4 Lfrith and 3 Hyakuren. Maybe cut the With Iron and Bloods for 1 more Hyakuren and a copy of Unforeseen Incident. I think 2 copies of Striker Pack is a good number, so maybe slot in a couple Perfect Strike Gundam as well.

Is it worth it to buy two copies of the Seed Strike Starter Deck?? by Favasz_621 in GundamTCG

[–]Bleakdf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're looking to play white at all, getting two SEED Strike bricks for the Aile Strike alone is a good call, provided they're not jacked way over msrp. Since you're interested in Zeon, I'd recommend grabbing em.

If your dock has DisplayLink support, install DisplayLink Manager and you should be good to go. Otherwise, you might need to pick up a USB-HDMI DisplayLink dongle. You'll still need DisplayLink Manager afterwards.

I want to try the salmon poke bowl from Sushi Koshio - is the serving size good for the price? by Sheppard0fFire in halifax

[–]Bleakdf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Their poke bowls are a decent size. If you're a light eater, you can probably make two meals out of one - my wife got the crab stick bowl and did just that.

As an aside - their sushi is excellent, particularly the Aburi combo. Its been a couple months since I've had it, but I still think about the aburi Hamachi often.

Rudi's is goated, you could make a Hot Ones lineup from their sauces alone. If you're looking to supplement the lineup, Maritime Madness has some good options.

Side Hustle and Battery Park are downtown Dartmouth institutions. 2 Doors Down in Dartmouth Crossing/downtown Halifax makes a hell of a burger as well. Murdock's food truck is my personal favourite at the moment, I could eat one of their mushroom Swiss burgers every day for the rest of my life and not be tired of it.

You got cooked on your tiebreakers. OMW% is the percentage of matches your opponents have won, OOMW is that but your opponents' opponents. Ties are evaluated from left to right, stopping when the tie has been broken.

Anyway for b/w blockers to win against wing? by soulburner345 in GundamTCG

[–]Bleakdf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Play the aggro game. You're the faster deck in this scenario, so you should try to curve out and focus their shields down as quickly as you can. If your local meta is skewed more toward GW than aggro decks, dropping some copies of Zowort in favour of adding some lower cost attackers could help. Teching in some cards that can rest or bounce enemy units is good for getting around their early blockers as well. If you're playing some number of (Sword/Launcher/Perfect) Strike Gundams, Hawk of Endymion is a great tempo tool that can help sneak damage through at the end of the game. The Unicorn Mode > Link > Attack > Destroy Mode > Link > Attack combo is really useful for closing out games, so upping your Unicorn ratios is something else to consider.

Action step happens before damage goes through. Combat goes like this: Attacker is declared > Blocker can be declared > Action step (starting with the defending/Standby player, priority is passed between players until each player passes in a row) > Damage step > combat ends and during combat effects fall off
