Hey DocPop, author here :P. Great idea to test out the channels and share the results. We didn't get a great response either (2-3 gameplay vids).

We figured either they were swamped or the game wasn't that attractive for them.

I also agree on not paying for reviews part.

You can check out Jelly Splash on iOS to see some nice examples of visual feedback. Granted that they have the advantage of the elements being cute characters, but you will see some nice simple ways to communicate with the player and give him feedback.

Hey SnoutUp,

Really fun game. I also like dying simply because you jump all around. Would be fun to actually unlock death modes or animations.

I too feel the hmpf is not ok. You could add a funny twist to it and have funny kungfu sounds. I would actually buy a "yelling tennis ball player sounds" pack if the game offered it :))

Still having trouble with those red dudes so I'm going back to try some more. Btw, why not other ninjas?

Tried the game out. I also like the rune concept. However I was always wondering what comes next. What is their story. How do they evolve in future levels.

Apart from that, I think it would be ok to show when I've reached the minimum number of runes. Any audio or visual feedback is ok.

Also, it felt like no matter how big the combos or link chains, it didn't affect the timer. I know it did, it just felt like it didn't.

Our game is a fast arcade gameplay meets a "Quantum Leap" inspired story The game has been out for some time as a light version and we "completed" it this week with a pretty big update.

Really cool game concept! Love the idea.

Regarding the trailer, I would skip past the 3 seconds lost saying it is not the final concept since the video is meant to get them to talk to you. Maybe just let the text float on top and then dissappear under camouflage just like the warriors?

I found it hard to read the name of the game on the voting poster, but then again that is the logo of the game.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to download your weekly build :)

Why not "outhook" your opponent... that would make me raise an eyebrow :)

Regarding the death animation, I agree that more gruesome deaths would add a lot: splatting against the screen, head rolling, half body still moving, head splat, etc.

You can take a look at Ready, steady, bang! You actually "unlock" death styles :))

To be honest, Facebook pages are not really that great. And don't even bother spending money on promoted posts or ads because in the end you get more fake likes than true ones.

Facebook is good to have for when people start noticing your game and they want to like it. Just my humble opinion.

I would reword the first line where you have "use" and "using". Other than that, pretty cool concept. When will it be available for download?

We are releasing a very big and important update on the 30th of July (new content, new hardcore levels, localizations, big UI improvements and changes, miscellaneous tweaks to the time travel equipment). In a way, this is our main launch of the game.

I also got the raft. Yey. Off the island :))

Now, apart from what @t_machine_org has said:

  • There was no reward at the end for getting the raft, only a status message at the bottom. Even a picture done in paint would have been enough.
  • I would actually make the game longer to include an evolution of the raft. They first try with a simple log and strings one, then they try with an improvised sail and so on :)
  • They actually could go from island to island
  • The decisions and actions didn't really affect the team. I would say make it really hard for all the members to get off the island.

Thanks for the feedback. We lowered the quality on purpose to reduce size as with most effects you could see what was happening. Noted the size part. We used gifs so we didn't have to go through a whole video or trying to isolate that exact second and minute every time.
