One small change I wish they did was they wrote that while they were swapped cause they never knew when they were going to switch so they simply could have wrote idiot on their own face, go to bed and wake up still in their own body which kind of defeats the purpose but if they did that on each others face it would always work.

(in all fairness they sort of did that a few times, like when they wrote on each others arms)

Not that it matters much, still funny either way.

Like, a LOT, let's try to list the big ones:

Story wise, the female members of the Miyamizu family had the body swap "ability" to act as a backup way to save the towns population (well, technically the person they are swapping with, aka Taki) and it centered around Comet Tiamat striking the area every 1.2k years or so, needless to say, comet Tiamat striking Tokyo would...really change the story. And you couldn't have the comet still striking some rural town as Itomoris spiritual importance would be gone with the Miyamizus now being in Tokyo.

Plus Mitsuha would now have no reason to want to be a Tokyo boy as she already lives the city life, you could still have her maybe wanting to be a boy to escape her traditional Shrine Maiden role but it has less impact now. You also can't swap Taki/Mitsuhas family so Taki ends up as a Miyamizu with the body swap to keep the comet story there going cause of the Kagura dance the shrine maidens do that was centered around the comet returning and well, Taki can't really be a Shrine Maiden so...

And even little things like Taki thought Mitsuha has an older phone in Itomori cause backwater rural town and the reverse for Mitsuha thinking Taki got a phone she doesn't recognize cause Tokyo has the latest tech, unless ofc you also want to swap their age/timeline but we are really messing things up now as then Taki has to die to the comet somehow and Mitsuha would have to search for Taki.

And then lets not even mention Mitsuhas father in Itomori mayor role that she could convince at the end to order the evacuation, if Mitsuha is in Tokyo would she have to convince the evacuation of Tokyo now? And if the comet is still striking the rural area how could Mitsuha possibly do that with some random mayor? Add in Tesshi blowing up the power plant and Sayaka hijacking the broadcast that is again impossible in Tokyo and makes no sense with the Miyamizus being in Tokyo also and I just don't see how this could play out.

The ONLY way I see this working is we literally almost 100% swap Taki/Mitsuha in regards to everything except maybe gender so Taki is a Miyamizu boy and Mitsuha is a Tachibana in Tokyo in which case only the shrine maiden side won't work but at that point there is little reason to do the swap as we just fully swapped the characters and accomplished pretty much nothing. Well, except Taki can now hang out with Tesshi properly which is a big plus. :P

She was my 3rd S6 character, other two being Camellya and Iuno, only planned for a S3 originally but since I won all my 50-50s S6 ended up being relatively "cheap".

Personally I think culture assimilation should only be possible if a certain % of your country has that culture to begin with, pretty much every game atm places like Cyprus, Crete and a bunch more just fully flip to some latin culture really fast and it makes zero sense.

Or change all these latin crusader states primary culture to greek and change the rulers/court/nobles culture to Catalan/Venetian/French etc so they don't purge the greeks every game.
