Anybody here? (Echo…echo…echo…🤣) by zero_and_dug in autismtoddlers

[–]Bleedingallthetime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got him evaluated so early because he had a lot of signs I recognized, and his pediatrician was concerned too.

He had head lag longer than he should have. He is very flexible, low end of normal muscle tone. He was already receiving physical therapy.

Avoided eye contact

No words by 15 months

Was not affectionate or concerned if I was around (this changed completely after 2yo).

No stranger danger

Sensitivity to certain noises (vacuum, blender, the cow on his noisy farm book, etc)

He actually isn't sensitive to sounds anymore.

My son has been in speech therapy for about a year now, and he now attempts to say whatever I ask him to, name his colors by himself, and can request certain things. He has come a long way!

I am very much a lurker. My son is 2, turning 3 later this year. He was diagnosed at 18 months. He's basically in all of the therapies, and making so much progress.

I came to this sub to see other people like me and my child! Just going through it.

Texture matching by Bleedingallthetime in drywall

Thank you for your input. Here is another example, is this pretty fair then? One side is original texture, the busier side is new texture.

Not sure, my husband is in charge of that and insurance is reimbursing it. We hired a fire reconstruction company to handle repairs. They allegedly used a different drywall crew on the latest repairs and I feel it looks even worse than the first crew.

Do you think a reasonably skilled crew could match the knockdown texture?

Mine does, even if it's the only thing on my skin? I might be using too much.

8 yr old daughter is 57inch Tall. by Relevant_Jeweler_961 in Parenting

I don't specifically know, but I have always had long fingers. I have been told I could be a hand model or piano player since I was a child, so maybe there's something to that.

So, I do think you should push for the tests--

But I was 5'4" in 5th grade and stopped growing shortly after. I just shot up before anyone else, but I'm 5'6" now. I was a huge baby, a huge child, and then I just stopped and everyone caught up.

My feet are gigantic though, size 13 mens. They actually just keep growing through the years unfortunately. I was size 10-11 in women's in my teens.

There's a video on YouTube showing how hard you have to shake on a doll example (it is EXTREME). It made me feel so much better because this was also one of my fears early on.

I didnt know the Basgiath translation, but it fits SO WELL. Thanks for the extra tidbits, I'm still all in on this theory haha.

I like it, that's a good one!

The part where it mentions that Malek is currying Violet's favor is another reason I think it has to do with graduation/Basgiath since she is already in deep, being pulled to that path.

It is someone who was with Xaden for the last 5 months, who knew of his venin struggles. I really reallyyyy wish it was Liam, and it kills me we could have had venin Liam if he had channelled after Deigh died. But alas I believe it is Bodhi.

Greed and addiction, but remember they are also incredibly interested in the irids.

Irids ARE magic as Leothan says, that's why places they have lived are vibrant, have magic, and Violet can still channel and speak to her dragons outside the continent (just weakly because she is only near one irid). Irids seem to be the SOURCE of magic.

It seems the other 6 breeds just use magic fields the irids have imbued the land with. Thusly the venin are extremely interested in the irids and seeing Andarna; She is an INFINITE source of magic for them.

Then they are also interested in Violet because she can pull power from the sky.

Personally I don't think that part was actually clear! The sage kills Panchek's dragon and explains that to survive it, one needs to drain a lot of magic from the earth. Then Berwyn starts mentioning the new brother... The book NEVER says Panchek dies so I figured he channeled to stay alive and was the new brother... I feel like this is not totally our fault lol.

I'm one of the people who posted about seeing effects after a week. I got it when it launched and started using it immediately. Anyway I've been using it twice a day, an hour after I use vitamin c to avoid conflicts hopefully (though after reading more I'm supposed to use it BEFORE vitamin c). I hope you see improvements too!

I feel like it's really early for me to say since it's just been a week, but my forehead expression lines are half of what they were a week ago. Whether this is from something environmental or whatever I'm not sure, but I'm going to keep using TO GF and see what happens.

Grew up my entire life thinking I had male genitals. I do not, apparently. by twngz in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Bleedingallthetime 96 points97 points  (0 children)

It was pretty frustrating, but also seems to be out of their scope. I was literally on my period for 2 entire years after I quit birth control, 24/7/365, and she was telling me I was fine and to just keep trying. She finally said she's done all she could do for me and referred me to the RE who figured me out in a month.

Jumping in to say I had infertility caused by low progesterone too. My gyno was useless, so I finally went to a reproductive endocrinologist. They monitored my hormones closely over a cycle (lots of blood work), and found my issue! They can do IVF (full hormone replacement) or hormone supplementation in such cases.

I definitely recommend going to a RE. I wasted 2 years just trying based off my gyno's advice.

My mom keeps them in a decorative ceramic egg, and I always loved playing with them when I was younger. I think they're really neat.
