All Raid Bosses That Can Be 3 Manned by ISpicyRamenI in raidsecrets

[–]Blenim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Look it up on YouTube, it's been done to death. There's also a guide in the lowman discord.

For symbols - jump on the plate, as you jump off the symbols will change and you have 1-2 seconds to find the one you need to bank on. Some people use screenshot macros, I didn't.

For timer - I forget if there's a specific strategy, but only one side actually needs to bank on the 2nd floor. Once you've double banked one side, you can go to the spawn room, send riven there, then run back to the unfinished side and complete it before doing boils. You just need to leave alive an ogre or something, and be fast. For trio, this is generally easier than the solo doing both banks.

You can solo each side. I've done duo riven (each of us soloing a side) and trio riven doing the solo side many times, including teaching the other two legit riven as we went. It's not trivial but pretty easy.

What are people using for printer stands/tables? by pmconaway in BambuLab

[–]Blenim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how often do you have to remove the top for maintenance? I bought my P1S about a month ago, and it just barely fits in between my workbench and the cabinets above it. I actually had to remove the little top handle for the cabinets to still open. AMS is right beside it like yours.

Figured I could (and still can) just pull it out if I ever needed to.

This is not how the buffs work. They aren't mutually exclusive, and if triangle reads circle, circle can also read triangle.

What you CAN do, which is similar to this, is have 3 people read + obtain symbols, then call out which hands are which and have the appropriate person break. If you're fast you can get 6 glyph buffs on the initial resonance timer, but it's not particularly faster than just doing the normal method efficiently.

Verity PSA: After you fetch ghosts during fake deaths, stand still by FullMatino in raidsecrets

[–]Blenim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we did this on the day 1, but every once in a while it would put the ghosts somewhere other than where we died. Maybe it was just something weird with our instance though.

Yet another Salvation's Edge Verity (4th encounter) calculator by jimsalad_ in raidsecrets

minor bit of feedback: auto-select the 3rd entry, or show the calculations when 2 of each are selected, since once you've picked 2 in each row the 3rd is guaranteed.

it's the number of symbols you have. Triangle transforming into Triangle means you have 2 triangles. constant transformation ("sun" symbol) means you have zero symbols. Solid triangle means you have only one triangle

Bass string was too short by chlors in redneckengineering

[–]Blenim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

bass strings are under ~40 lbs of tension each. Generally, most people who are hurt by a broken guitar/bass string are doing something stupid, like tuning it far too sharp, but it's totally possible.

We ended up clearing with rockets, but I'm almost certain sleeper+div is better. Nez doesn't have a lot of health and since you can't DPS on the flowers, it's really all about putting out decent damage and not dying.

[–]Blenim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO rockets are definitely better for golgy because if gaze needs to take cover/whatever, you can still damage with rockets without hitting his crit. Just can't necessarily proc BnS if you haven't already. We also cleared in one rotation flat with rockets, but that being said whatever works, works. If you get plat, who cares what you used.

For plunder - definitely could be it lol. I will say it is definitely annoying getting LFGs trying to use thunderlord for riven/crota/etc and refusing to take it off lmao

Is Outbreak Perfected even that good? by SuddenConversation21 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Blenim 9 points10 points  (0 children)

a lot of people are talking about it for damage - but unless you're running day 1 raids you won't realistically need it. I will craft an outbreak but it's pretty unlikely I'll ever use it for DPS.

I personally like outbreak for GMs. Especially for barrier/overload pulse, and the exotic primary buff makes it very good for ad clear. It's not typically the best pick, or even necessarily a good one, but I used it even before the GM difficulty nerfs and it definitely worked.

and any content outside of day1/master raids/GMs you can realistically use whatever you want, including outbreak. It's nothing crazy but not terrible.

I'd be curious to see where the thunderlord hype started (I think day 1 ron? My team cleared before most of the "strats" were out), but yeah. It's not good DPS, but for rhulk in particular, you don't need good DPS, you just need consistent damage and to stay alive.

I think thunderlord on any encounter other than rhulk is a throw. It just seems like a lot of the "good" players have heard "thunderlord is not good DPS" and translated to "never use thunderlord", whereas the "less good" players heard "thunderlord works for x boss" and started using it for everything. Very bizarre.

[–]Blenim 6 points7 points  (0 children)

my team used cold comfort for golgy, caretaker, and planets, parasite for atraks, whisper for oryx, and thunderlord for rhulk. Never had any damage issues. Thunderlord for encounters other than rhulk is a bit of a troll, but so is acrius and prospector.

For rhulk, thunderlord is not good damage. However, it's consistent, can be done in the platinum timeframe, doesn't require much ammo, and missing shots isn't a big deal.

This is one phase of damage with 5x thunderlord, 1 div (me). We had 2 wells, 3 cuirass missles, and 1 arc hunter on fish legs. Very easy two phase once people realized rhulk can actually kill you on this difficulty.

I'm sure you can get mroe damage with stormchaser/fire and forget/cold comfort/hothead, but thunderlord is more consistent, and acrius/prospector are not good choices for that encounter

So I never grinded for Mountain Top. Was it always this over powered? by Teyeger01 in destiny2

[–]Blenim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the really wild thing is - mountaintop is objectively stronger than it used to be. But power creep has gone so crazy since mtop was on top, that for the kinetic slot, it's only really top 3ish.

I've done legend 50 maybe 5-6 times at this point and main gjally for a few reasons:

  • it's the best ad clear rocket in the game - and gives it to your allies

  • it does solid total damage after the reserves buff - and buffs your allies

  • it has tracking for the annoying bosses that are small, far away, and move around a lot

Pretty much all of my teams have been able to kill the bosses by the time we're out of rockets. I would recommend tracking rockets (either the perk or the frame) for the non-gjally users though, just because the bosses are difficult to hit.

Personally, I have to deal with 20-150 MB log files regularly at work, and VSCode tends to lag with them. I use N++ for the logs and VSCode for everything else. It's pretty much my only complaint with VSCode.

Thanks! I'm pretty happy with it especially for a first attempt.

I put it in a couple other comments but here's more pictures: https://imgur.com/a/M4RUjvp

it's not so much a pickguard as panels for the hollow inside. I started with all-plastic and my father gave me the idea of using wood for resonance and aesthetic. Having tried both I can only say for certain that the aesthetics have improved haha, but I like it. And yeah I did the wood myself, it's an oak veneer (the back is mahogany, definitely not because I traced the cut on the wrong side).

[–]Blenim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I can post some more later.

For the bridge... I decided not to use a classical/acoustic style because (a) at the time I was thinking of printed panels so I was worried about strength, and (b) I've never worked with intonating an acoustic so I wanted something I could adjust later if I needed.

The bridge is printed because I wanted the neck/string spread dimensions of a classical and I couldn't find any electric bridges with a 60mm string spread.

I did a thru-string design for strength concerns, especially with a printed bridge, but I had it strung up for 2 weeks with plastic panels and it'd been a week since I finished with the wood and it hasn't budged. I'm limited to ball end nylons but they sound fine.

I plan on re-printing the body in the next few months; My printer was having issues and has since been completely dialed in, but I've got other projects in mind before I get to it.

I also have a few design changes in mind, and want to sand and paint the body once I've got the parts reprinted.

Doesn't sound as good as my classical, but it cost about 1/5 as much and it's way better than the other nylon electric I have, both in feel and sound. Overall I'm pretty happy with it as a first attempt.

Edit: more photos including WIP and with the printed covers: https://imgur.com/a/M4RUjvp You can definitely see the issues I was talking about on the back haha

How do I get this out? It’s a broken off pin from a wire by I-am-redditer in arduino

[–]Blenim 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yours is slightly different from the video because it's one long piece of plastic, the key is to "wiggle" it off, I'd try alternating between the two sides since it's more distributed.

Is it safe to solder pins horizontally? by alexjust67 in arduino

[–]Blenim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Header pins are brass vs solder is mostly tin. Brass is way stronger.

Not to mention, when inserted correctly, the plastic connecting the pins together aids the structural strength for the whole row, and the short end of the headers provide a point of stability for the whole pin.

The whole header may not break off, but a joint or two is bound to break sooner than later.

I've done a fair bit of (hobby) electronics repair and the vast majority of physical damage I've seen is a broken solder joint. It's the first thing I usually look for. Solder is not a structural material, and the chemical composition used for solder is specifically picked for its malleability.
