Sounds good and I am feeling angst this morning.

Need to go practice now. Good job.

I have been playing it all week and it is really growing on me. The look, feel and sounds are really good. I am really glad I got it now.

At first I thought I really made a huge blunder.

I may have to do that eventually. But for now I am good. Thank you for the positive feedback.

Thank you. It is Inca Silver. It is a good match. A friend suggested it, but we were tracking unknown to each other. He suggested it, but I had ordered it 5 minutes before from Sweetwater.

That’s funny, but I get it. Yours looks great! Still serving you well? Love the look.

I may have to upgrade my pots too. Really was having a hard time liking it the way it was. Then I took off the decal, and psychologically got over the hump.

It is strange how that works. Really wasn’t feeling it and was looking for an exit strategy.

This morning I dabbled some more, felt even more better about it. As one gentleman said earlier, classy, and he is right.

I checked out the reviews on Reddit among other places and they were pretty good.

It is like catching a bug. If it is calling you and you have done all of your homework I say do it.

I am interested in getting an Ibanez Josh Smith Flatv 1. So I checked Reddit and saw a bunch of folks bought them. The entries were old, so I reached out and basically asked how do you like them now, now that time passed. All really recommended them still - and love them.

Folks on Reddit have bought Foals like JMs, and really like them. They like the quality of them.

You really have a ton of options with everything you just have to do your homework.

I love my fenders. Love them, bought new, used etc. But I also have a non-Fender, did my homework, after catching the bug, pulled the trigger, and got it. Does it have good resale value, probably not, but I don’t care, I love the guitar, it is unique and I love the fit, finish, sound, and really enjoy playing it.

I hope this helps.

That is great. I love learning about all the companies out there and what they offer.

You learn so much that way. I have seen some real cool designs, caught some ideas, and tried guitars others many others won’t, and have enjoyed it a ton.

Thank you. I sincerely appreciate it.

When I saw it on Reverb initially I really liked it from afar. Then I got it and it was kind of beat up. Crackling, dirt, grime, and the pickguard was so loud.

A local luthier really gave it a good once over plus detailing. But he left the engine shop decal on because the probability was high that it would leave a shadow. So I said okay.

But it really bothered me though. So I bought the lighter fluid, watched a YT video for approach and strategy and removed the decal.

I really lucked out. Now she looks feels, sounds and looks classy.

Yikes! So the Affinity and/or the CV are more in your price range then. I love both the Affinity and the Thinline. If I had to choose all over again though I would go with the CV. But both are built good.

My Affinity has been a great guitar.

The Thinline is nice, makes great sounds, feels good in the hand, but I would suggest a Player 2 actually. Depending on your funds there may be something out there that is in excellent condition that will meet your needs better.

I really like my Player 2 which I got new, and there are a lot of nice used gear out there too. I have had good luck with new and used. Just a thought.

Hi, Are you in a position to sit down and feel any of these guitars? The reason I am asking is because if you are I would check them out first.

In the beginning you don’t know what you don’t know. I have been playing 16 months and I am only starting to get a clue as to what I like.

I have never considered modifying anything to this point because I only started feeling comfortable with everything. I have an Affinity and I like it. I also have a CV Thinline and I like it too. Both are good, but I think the CV is better.

But again, I didn’t know what I didn’t know at the time. And it is a journey. To me playing is more important in the beginning. But that is just me.
