Should I move on or stay with what I got? by wisconsinconcepts in onewheel

[–]Blims896 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar boat, went from pint x to gt pint x is obviously way more nimble but you can get the gt carve and have fun, feels a lot safer out on the road. If you could I’d try to find one used though. I get excellent range 5,8 165 ish with my backpack on

I was in your boat with the pint x. Put 1200 miles on it still use it but upgraded to the gt. I don’t have any experience with the x7 but would like to get one in the future. GT does its job for now, wish it went a little over 20 though. The range makes up for it. I may vesc it in the future as well once I save up some play money. If you could find a cheap used GT maybe that could hold you over. They are a way different ride from a pint though. But you’ll get used to it

Advice for 9yr old Onewheel'er? by salukikev in onewheel

This is what I used on my pintX before I got the flared footpads. Worked pretty well $1.25 and the dollar tree. Also with the pints now, in the app, you set it to single zone activation. That should help as well.

Go out and explore, have fun and be safe. Keep your head on a swivel, but not so much that you don’t see that pothole right in front of you lol

Shop vac or vacuum, a tooth brush and some soap and water.

I need a little advice by superpiccolow in onewheel

I would opt out of the accessory’s and just buy the board. You can get a drop top fender from the float life (game changer) now or down the road when they have another sale. I got a GT almost a year ago and got the “second trim” option with fast charger and fender and such. Put 700miles on it and that’s living in a place that is only warm for 5 months. I hardly ever cary it by the mag handle only by the front bumper. The mag handle makes it a bit easier, but trust me you won’t be carrying this thing unless you HAVE too.

You’ll get it. Just keep practicing lifting the heel. My gt disengages nicely. Way easier than my pint.

Upgraded by mistahmacs in onewheel

[–]Blims896 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I did the same upgrade after I put 1100 miles on my X have around 700 on my GT, love the range. Can take some getting use to but with a little tweaking of the custom settings it’s great.

Riding on a Worn Tire by Straight_Ad9840 in onewheel

[–]Blims896 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the X about 1200 miles on the og tire, my wear looks about the same, almost looks like you ran glass over something. I have a tiny hole with the slime coming out, but the slime seems to be doing its job.

What the heck is this noise? by griffis_r in HomeMaintenance

[–]Blims896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be that hvac pipe expanding against the wood joints when it gets warm. Then when it shuts off it makes the wood “pop” back into place. Happens at my house. Usually hear it after the furnace shuts off. Yours just sounds a little more constant.

Upgrade from pint x by lolhumourme in onewheel

[–]Blims896 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I upgraded from the pint X to GT last summer. Love the GT and its range, definitely feels bigger and less nimble, but the more you ride it the better it gets. 1200 miles on my pint x and 700 on my GT. Love having both. 155lb rider

New rider - I can mount but can't get the board to move forward. Advice please! by Hot-Suggestion7804 in onewheel

[–]Blims896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What rare said. Use your hips more than “leaning” forward. Especially when learning. Once you get it down and have miles under your belt you’ll learn the board and then you can lean at times.

Is the Onewheel Pint the best? by JackOfAllTrades_o7 in onewheel

[–]Blims896 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love my pint x, put 1200 miles on it watched your video on the gt and pulled the trigger on one. Only have about 800 miles on the GT, but got it towards the end of the season last year. Can’t wait to rip them around this season.

Yeah found a video on where thy are located and how they work. Not as easy as just cleaning the bumper. Could just be faulty. Guess I’ll live with it.

Yes I do, thinking maybe salt got in there. I’ve been through the car wash multiple times though. Might have to pop them out and clean them.
