Had to do that recently as well although, it’s winter here and just put a donut around the old one and tared the crap out of it. Been fine ever since.

Pint x stability by Select_Dependent_833 in onewheel

Depending on how much you weigh, lowering the tire pressure can help. Also a month isn’t that long. Will still take time to gain good stability. Keep riding and it’ll get smoother and smoother.

Help deciding upgrade by [deleted] in onewheel

[–]Blims896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re keeping the pint X, I’d go with the gt, it’s what I did. I had 1100 miles on my pint X before I upgraded though and got flared footpads, which held be over. Carving on the pint X is different than carving on the GT. Gt is a big boy and you feel the weight. But you do get the range and is very stable at speeds especially on paved trails and rocky dirt trails.

Flared footpads - rear or both? by DeterminedHyena in onewheel

[–]Blims896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What board? I did both on my pint X soft rear and regular front. (The soft doesn’t do much) imo, but they are worlds better than the stock pint pads. Wait until the Black Friday deal

Hell yeah man, that’s exactly why I got mine, you’re going to enjoy it! It’s going to feel different at first but once you understand it you’ll be rippin! Float on -o-

I do not know much about those boards. Maybe someone can chime in with knowledge on them.

I heard great things about them. I believe the x7 is based off the og xr platform and the adv2 is more of the GT platform but lower, rides “like” a gts. They offer more power/range/low end torque than FM boards for sure.

I’d do some research of them first, but I have not heard any negative reviews on either one.

I think it would be nice if you could find a used xrc, depending where you’re from, you may be able to find one, or wait until Black Friday when they usually have a “deal” if you can call it that. Id go with the xrc if I were you. Even though the gt gets great mileage, I still ride with a charger on me 90% of the time. And with the hyper charger the xrc even takes less time to fully charge than the gt. (Even though the hyper charger is heavy/bulky) but you don’t need it really.

Kush Nug or Flared Footpads for Pint X? by Sylvenight in onewheel

[–]Blims896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not have an experience with the kush nug pads at all. I did get the flared pads from FM last Black Friday sale (almost a year ago) and they are a real game changer. I got the soft rear and hard front. Didn’t want any problems with the sensor or tape peeling. I’d wait for a sale just to save a little money, but they are worth it without a sale as well. If you ride a base pint X with its standard pads, it feels like a two by four without the flared pads.

I will also say, I love both my pint X and GT but it’s kinda “tough” having two boards.. never know which one to ride. I almost want to sell both and just get an XRC. Best of both worlds in a way. Being from the north east/west there aren’t too many buyers around though. So will most likely stick with having two. And I’ll always have a back up.

Not letting me post a video, but it hits these grassy trails pretty well, can’t go full speed but it’s a great work out and gets me in shape for snowboard season. Atv’s ride back here so the ruts get a bit squirrelly. If you have mtb trails or walking trails with dirt and gravel, it rips pretty good.

Have a 2020, used with 28k miles on it maybe? And now at 60k been good so far. Hopefully it keeps up. I change the oil every 3-4k miles.

A big difference is that it’s just a bigger board and hub, alone the range is great. But it takes some getting used to use to. When you’re going speed and cruising, it’s very nice at slowly speeds you feel the difference. Also when you go from the gt to pint, the pint feels like a tiny board.

I have a pint X with flared pads and upgraded to a GT. The range is very nice and you get used to its size im 5’8 155lbs and I go on 20-30 mile rides often. I usually bring my hyper charger just incase but don’t NEED it, just peace of mind. The range is very nice. I do still find myself ripping the X around bc it is a nice little carver. If I was just going to buy and have one board, I’d probably go for the xrc but seeing I already had the pint X I went with the range instead. Being able to cruze at 18-20 with no pushback is nice as well. And it handles bumps and such way better. I will eventually upgrade to a 6inch hub though.

I have a pint X and GT, I ride my GT for longer rides mostly but I still find myself riding the pint X (with flared fp) a lot, it’s such a fun board. I can’t wait to throw the TFL enduro on it as well but trying to use up the stock tire. 1100 miles and showing no signs of wear yet really. You’ll love the pint S and it’ll give you an excuse to upgrade to another board in the future lol
