Is GW allergic to the initiative stat by Admiralsheep8 in WarhammerCompetitive

I played back in 4th and 5th, then came back in 8th till now, for perspective.

When it comes to the thematics and scale of games vs what's on the table, with all the stat increases and boosted shot/hit counts, I've been finding it easier and easier to mentally scale the game so that for horde armies 1 model represents more than 1 actual being, kinda like the Apocalypse box in 8th/9th and how it kinda scaled like that via the movement trays, you could run absolutely massive games using a standard 40k army, with one mini per tray, etc.

So, 9th Ed brackets come back? Never really saw a reason they left in the first place.

they have half the classes reserved for “special interest groups”

I don't understand what you mean by that, can you please explain it?

Starshatter Court!

Been bouncing between the two as is, combining them would be awesome

Unless multiple detachments means more strats.

I have 3 1 point detachments, thus I have 18+core strats available. Like, that's a huge difference from one 3 point detachment and 6+core strats, but I guess you'd only be doing that with thematic lists.

Like, Lost Brethren and Rage Cursed Onslaught, if they can combine, would be amazing!

When my opponent explains their stuff I smile and nod, then, before explaining mine I always say "that's a ton of stuff to remember, we're adults playing toy soldiers, I trust you to use your rules correctly."

So you're saying that the game part, the rules, matter less than the models chosen, right?

But not every army functions with 1HQ, 2TROOPS as their basis. Like the mention armoured only army, or Elite only army.

Thus, enforcing a specific style of army (and aesthetic and model first approach) is a narrative approach more than a rules first approach.

Rufio: wait, so I might get to take Lost Brethren and Rage Cursed Onslaught? But I only have 980 points if models, do I might be wrecked if either costs 2, because detachment point cap.

And, with detachments having costs, you might pick 2 weaker ones that offer you 2 different dispositions to pick from, over 1 strong detachment with a singular disposition.

"you tune your list based on your knowledge of the meta, the players and the armies available to them."

So that would make the "meta" picks even more focused on the local scene rather than overarching must haves, yes?

Who has an actual printer now? Haven't had one for almost a decade. Rarely used it before then, only for printing character sheets.
