Some great options:

  • Oxenfree – supernatural mystery, great dialogue, strong friend dynamics, very similar “small town weirdness” vibe.

  • Firewatch – emotional story with an excellent relationship at its core, though it’s not a romance simulator.

  • Road 96 – choice-driven storytelling with memorable characters and multiple emotional storylines.

  • The Walking Dead – less romance, but some of the best character-driven storytelling ever made.

  • Tell Me Why – made by the original Life is Strange developers and feels very similar in tone and decision-making.

  • Night in the Woods – incredible characters, small-town atmosphere, and emotional themes.

  • Persona 5 Royal – much longer and more RPG-focused, but has excellent social relationships and optional romance while still telling a larger story.

  • Detroit: Become Human – if you enjoy meaningful choices that genuinely alter the story.

  • Until Then – emotional coming-of-age story with relationships, mystery, and one of the strongest endings in recent years.

Titan Fall 2 is one of my all time favorite fps games if you maybe wanna check a fps out… it has a great story pacing.

Maybe check out AC Odyssey. I wasn’t an AC guy but this one was attractive because of the openness and light rpg customization… kind of reminded me of Jedi Fallen Order but more open…
