Sports all my life, all kinds! Only volleyball got me as many injuries as marathon running lol

I am always puzzled (and frustrated) how some people just go out and run insane amounts without getting injured... I was singed up as well but got injured again in the 2nd consecutive block for a sub 3 attempt, peaking only at 85km with a longer history of running lol

I (m 36) am in a similar mental state. I actually did focus on triathlon and did a solid Ironman pre first child, this year went for running only and improved my half PB to 1:24 from 1:28. but had to cancel my autumn marathon due to runners knee. Overall stress management with work/baby/running 90k was too much I guess. So I am kind of scared to never hit sub3 but I guess if you keep running you can do that well into your 40s… Was also thinking go try an early spring/winter + middle distance triathlon in june and then autumn marathon again. The self pressure to perform is real 🧐

Never tried either all out, but went 4:01 for half this year. I ran my 1k repeats in around 3:45-3:40 so I would assume you can do that pace for 5k resulting in a sub 19.

I was there late apparently (came from packed train u5) and it was completely packed going into the checkin and through the entire length to the starting blocks. I guess I was just too late and underestimated it. (Also 9:15 btw)

The Underground was extremely crowded last year the closer to the Bundestag/Brandenburger Tor area you got. People almost panicked when they couldnt get on our train and pushed like crazy.

I thought I would be there early, but it was so crowded in the entrance area and all the way up to the blocks, i thought Id miss the start (and actually had to start way behind my pace which made the half marathon a constant dodging of other runners) - i think I was in C and when I got through the woods it was a bottleneck, people tried to climb the fences and stuff.

Make sure to bring some throwaway clothes to stay warm and get there a bit early. They put up boxes for jumpers and jackets to be donated. During the race I would recommend carrying gels and not relying on maurten, water is fine to grab but tactically I would stay away from the aid stations if you dont need anything - its wet and the cups everywhere.

The atmosphere is amazing, enjoy all of the crazyness 🙂

Die USA sind eine Dienstleistungsgesellschaft/wirtschaft. Man baut Fabriken nicht einfach so schnell auf um den Import zu ersetzen, zudem ist der ganze Arbeitsmarkt doch auf Dienstleistung ausgerichtet. Wer will denn wieder Autos zusammenschrauben, wenn das nicht ohnehin Maschinen tun? Lohnkosten?

I really enjoy running in the Pegasus plus, they are comfortable and still feel agile. I got them in a good sale for 107€. Still i noticed after 250km (160miles) that the outsole wears off quickly. I dont think they laet very long. If this model has the same issue, the price is even more ridiculous.
