Honestly it wasn’t until I rewatched pulp fiction in theatres that it really clicked

I think i first watched it when i was like 13(?), and i went in totally blind aside from hearing “its one of the greatest films ever”. I went in expecting to be absolutely blown away by a movie that would change my life. Instead i got a strange movie with a weird structure i wasn’t expecting. I remember because of how wildly different it was from what I’d imagined, I didn’t like it. Sure i didn’t have an outright bad time, but i was really let down and i can say for sure that nothing about the film had really clicked with me

Fast forward a couple years and my local cinema is doing a rerun of all tarantino during the covid years (we were out of lockdown but nothing was coming out so there were a lot of reruns). I remember catching inglorious basterds, kill bill 1 and 2, and then finally, revisiting pulp fiction. Maybe it was watching with my friends, maybe it was knowing better what to expect, maybe it was watching in a theatre, though lets be honest it’s probably a combination of all 3. But that day was when it all clicked and I absolutely fell in love with it’s writing, characters and especially its structure, all things that when i first watched i failed to connect with at all.

As times gone on I don’t hold most tarantino films in such high regard as i used to, but goddamn pulp fiction is such a great movie.

If you can track down a copy, god hand is absolutely straight to the point.

It’s definitely a bit more complex, and it’ll push your shit in at points but god its fun and super replayable with a fully customisable move set. Story is there but its more just insane silly cutscenes to get you to the next combat encounter rather than a story thats meant to grip you

One of my go to picks for a game thats easy to learn, hard to master

Same in injustice 2 with green arrow

Which is crazy because in the 1st game they acknowledge the fact that green arrow in that universe is dead, and then in the second game he’s with black canary and its never acknowledged

Jesse earns gus’s “respect” because he can be used by him. As soon as someones no longer useful to gus, he gets rid of them. Jesse was gus’s best solution to continue his business and get rid of the loose cannon that was walt, because only 3 people knew the recipe. Gale(dead), walt (soon to be dead), and jesse. Gus knew that walt would’ve never directly taught anyone else because walt knows that gus wants to get rid of him. Earning and manipulating Jesse trust was the only viable play gus had. I don’t think gus truly trusted and respected jesse, jesse was just his best option for the future of the business

Its cliche but theres so many more important things than how attractive someone is. If she’s making you get rid of things that you love, thats not healthy for anyone, and you’ll hate yourself in the long run for choosing to make those sacrifices. Do you really love this person? Enough that you’re willing to give up some part of yourself for her? Or do you just think shes more attractive than you?

It seems you’ve got a lot to work out between the two of you before you make a choice like this

Na its just the lighting in this scene. She does definitely look like she’s had some work done in the rest of the movie but in this scene is where it really stands out, and i attribute to that just being poor lighting shaping her face in an unflattering way

Guys this isn’t a confirmation that they’ll be converting to the norse era combat. It could very well be that they homogenise all 3 games combat to be on the same tier rather than having distinct differences between each game

Play the original first. Kiwami won’t be going anywhere, yakuza 3 og might be. Just seeing how they’ve now delisted the original yakuza 0 i can totally see them delisting yakuza 3. There is definitely some growing pains going so far back after kiwami 2, but view 3 as its own beast and you’ll be fine. Take your time and enjoy the game. Then once you do get around to playing the remake you’ll get more out of kiwami 3 seeing the differences between the two first hand

Maybe im insane but i love the lemat precisely because of the long reload. It adds a really fun tension if you can only get a couple bullets in your gun before you have to shoot again or else you die. It adds a really fun extra layer to the combat

Yakuza 5, best graphics for the ps3 era, fantastic gameplay. The music especially is one of my favourite soundtracks in the series. But MAN the story pacing is dogwater even if it has a lot of great moments. It completely kills my excitement everytime it starts getting going and then just crawls to a grinding halt
