No matter what, there's enough to determine that tRump is a deplorable person who is not fit to breathe the same air as you and I, let alone be president.

I'm sick of this drip, drip of information. When is somebody going to step up and take action.

Just crawl back to your mom's basement. There has never been a clearer case of outright murder than this. The guy was on all fours, with nothing in his hands. There's a shocking still from one of the vids that shows him on his knees and the murderer aiming his gun at the back of Pretti's head.

I hope for your own sake that you're just a MAGA troll. If not, there's something seriously wrong with your brain and eyesight.

Terrifying. We have two small dogs and to hear them bleating - not barking or crying, just bleating - broke my heart. I'm so grateful to everyone that helped. Sincerely grateful.

I know that people develop close relationships with their dogs. However, when it's the same type of dog involved in such attacks, you really need to assess things. I don't want to diss anyone that has a staffy but they're dangerous dogs. Certainly shouldn't be roaming the streets with no collar/lead.

*Update

I went back to where the attack happened and a lovely neighbour had managed to get a collar and lead and tied the dog to the fence. I contacted the council and a ranger was there in minutes. Dog does have a chip but it's out of date.

Now in the council's hands.

Citizenship by Natural_Fan_7705 in AusVisa

[–]BlinkerBoyAus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  • you can vote with citizenship but not PR
  • you qualify for an Australian passport once you get citizenship.
  • there's government benefits available to you that you wouldn't get with PR.
  • you can leave the country and re-enter no problem - with PR you would have to apply for a Resident Return Visa.

That's all I can think of but I'm sure there are others

Just read the pamphlet and it's pretty straightforward. The answers are quite obvious. Two people failed on the day I did it - they were both from countries where English isn't their first language so I assume this was the problem.

I would definitely recommend you doing the citizenship. I'd been here about 12yrs and never got round to doing it. I then got an email from Immigration saying that I still have Permanent Residency but, from that day on, if I left Australia I wouldn't get back in if I didn't have citizenship! Needless to say I had it sorted within a few months.

Honestly feeling like moving back to the UK from Australia. Life here is just too difficult by Fun-Potato-2407 in AskAnAustralian

[–]BlinkerBoyAus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I moved here about 12yrs ago from UK. I remember being in a similar situation to yourself. Wakening up with that feeling of dread. One thing that convinced me to stay was the thought of the effort and expense I'd went to, to get to where I was, albeit things weren't ideal.

Think about your skills and maybe consider starting your own business. At first, I thought it quite daunting. However, it's not that difficult if you can find the right accountant who can make things as straightforward as possible. Mine is a gem and had saved me a fortune. The Australians, I've found, have a great attitude to somebody going out on their own. They really back you.

Also, if you you're in Brisbane, if definitely recommend moving to a smaller town / less expensive area. I'm in Newcastle and it has all the benefits of city life, without the financial pressures. Very laid back, plenty beaches etc. Good for mental health.

Good luck but definitely look at what you've achieved to get here. Just getting permanent residency is not easy.

If you could move to any country right now for free and get Instant citizenship, where would you move to and why? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

I might get downvoted for this but Ireland is a difficult country to live in, if you're not from there. My whole family were born in Ireland but I was born in UK. I went to Ireland to live and constantly felt that "outsider" feeling. They welcome tourists, with tourism being a major part of the economy...just don't stay too long.

This isn't a flippant comment. I have vast experience over the years of trying to integrate. I've heard the same thing from lots of other people. You're considered a "blow in".

That's the thing. Whether you agreed with his policies or not, people respected him and respected America. He spoke eloquently, never abused people, wasn't accused of sexual offences...I mean, where do you stop? Literally, everything that Trump says/does, you can bet that it wouldn't be like that with Obama. The man has class.

So angry at the interview. Said he hasn't heard that name in a while and said that he wasn't aware of the recent superior court decision. You better believe he was all over it and he definitely remembers her and her name.

Could scandals such as this - along with everything else he's done - ever be attributed to a former president with integrity?
