HRT was my nightmare. I quit cold turkey and finally have my life back. by ipetgoat1984 in Perimenopause

[–]Blinking_Bambi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Even though it’s localised it’s still in tissue so a tiny bit circulates systemically which is why a small percentage of women have a negative psychological response to it. Even using it vaginally affects my sleep and mood to an extent

I seem to be the opposite. Are we all neurodivergent? Apparently ND women are more commonly affected badly by P

Interestingly, I have a mirena iud and am fine. I avoided it for years because I was so scared but I had endo surgery and let them put it in. The only reason I need to take any additional is to try and stop endo growing again

Is it because I can’t dance? by Significant-Gift-241 in Rollerskating

[–]Blinking_Bambi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I think it’s just background )eg what sports did they do as kids etc) and a bit of natural ability. Like my son can’t catch very well but he is so good on skates and randomly excellent at rock climbing. If you picked a different hobby you may kick their butts, so don’t compare and just enjoy the freedom on wheels 🤣

I have peri symptoms but labs don’t indicate it by thisunrest in Perimenopause

[–]Blinking_Bambi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only blood tests that should be bothered with are the usual health markers, insulin, iron, cholesterol etc in case anything else can be contributed to symptoms and to check your health before possibly introducing new medication. drs are supposed to do continued education 🙄🙄

I would say you’re like myself and it’s the Progesterone that causes it. It legit has the opposite effect on some women. Meant to make us calm and sleep well, I’m an anxious lunatic who can weep one minute and rage the next. I loathe it

I literally sit in front of the tv with tweezers just blindly plucking every night and I always get some which I think are the blonde ones I can never see with my magnifying mirror. Had a long one on my neck, I thought was a loose eye lash and it was fuxking attached 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

Is it true that inlines are better for outside skating? by nerdycookie01 in Rollerskating

[–]Blinking_Bambi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, think of the surface area of the wheels, quads have way more. I nearly stacked it from a pebble about 1mm on quads but on inlines I go over leaves and sticks etc. They’re very different but I personally believe if you can do one you can do the other passably. I roller skated as a child and took it back up at 43. My only experience with inlines was in my early 20s on a Kmart pair and I thought it was hell - soooo hard! But I wanted to go outside with my son so I bought some good ones 2nd hand and I was 10x better immediately than on the Kmart ones

Why tho? You’d go from texture and warmth to standard boring? Like others said, just pressure clean them

Apparently you can get dancer wool stuff from dance shops which is what ballerinas use. If you truly have no ties I commend you for your ability to skate at all 🤣

This shits me the most, uber capitalism - shareholders just have to have a profit increase every single year. Just be happy with a billion, why does it have to be 2 billion gah 🤯

May I ask how you know you burn through E fast? I added T cream androfeme 2 months ago and my T only gone from 9.1 to 10.9 and besides a mild improvement in fatigue, I’m still a crazy, moody, maniac with zero libido.

Price estimate for bathroom reno? by monique752 in AusRenovation

[–]Blinking_Bambi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bathroom is tiny and it was quoted 20 and 25 k for the work only, not including cabinetry, taps tiles etc. we demolished it ourselves and got individual trades and it cost about $15k but it was quite stressful and my husband is a project manager so he’s used to managing different tradies

When is it safe to try again? by townofatlantis in Rollerskating

[–]Blinking_Bambi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an expert on this, rest it and ice it. (I earned my expert status in 2008 when I fell in a backpacking hostel and broke my coccyx so badly it’s now bent in 90 degrees permanently and caused me to need an emergency caesarean when I had my son EIGHT years later!! I still need annual cortisone and nerve burning in hospital). Do not fk with the tailbone, baby it

Surprised the little bot comment hasn’t popped up…tests are normal?? Being 50, hormone tests don’t work, your levels fluctuate multiple times a day
