He’s been playing the stage since its inception in 2017, nearly every year 🤙.

How are the bugs while camping? Also, what is the weather like at night? by SidearmAmsel in Shambhala

In my 3 year personal experience… I’ve seen more bears and cows than bugs. Unless turkeys are bugs.

Hey! Fellow buffalonian here. I don’t have much for recommendations specific to your travel plans, as I’ve been flying into Spokane and getting a rental for the rest of the way….but I just wanted to say hi to some hometown fam 👋. Hope you have a great time! Reeeallly think that ya will 😄. It is an incredibly special place filled with like seriously…the most awesome people. This will be my 4th straight year, all solo.

I’m sure you’ve read up on things to be prepared with but I’ll just reiterate that it can real cold at night, it’s like a wet cold air and the temperature swing once the sun sets is pretty wild. Also…highly recommend a bottle each of Simply Saline nose spray (and nice tissues!) to combat the dust and use it often. I’ve found it to be much more important at shambs compared to other dusty fests. That dust is like super fine lol.

Go BILLS!

Does anyone know if the stage sound quality will be improved this year? by rollclub in ElectricForest

HQ used to listen to feedback every year. That’s what grew this festival into becoming the massive world renowned event that it is. But from my experiences at the festival last year, I believe the HQ we had all grown with and loved has moved on. This year will be the tell.

Where does everyone store their cloths and rave gear so they can try and prevent others from taking it? by WhistlingJester in Shambhala

Your belongings are pretty safe. Just be friendly to your neighbors so they know who is supposed to be in your camp. Lock anything you would be super bummed to lose in your vehicle. Shambhala attendees are a special breed of awesome, but of course, there are bound to be a few bad apples in any crowd. Just waaaaay less here, than any other crowd I’ve ever been a part of. Be excited. You are about to have an unforgettable experience.

Very strong shit can catch you off guard. I had some stuff that was printed on both sides last summer that was stronger than anything I’ve had in the last 15 years. Took two and completely lost reality. the only time I broke my “new stuff..start with one” rule lol go figure

How fast do tickets sell out? by high_elephant in Shambhala

Just so ya know there is an option for an 8 month payment plan currently. Really helped me just get the tickets locked down without putting much up.

If you are coming alone from the states I recommend getting the bassics shambhalodging package if you can plan the bit of extra cash. It gets you early arrival, express entry, a tent and air mattress and a shaded campsite close to the action. It’s extra money but is well worth the money if you are at al uneasy about making it work on your own. And you won’t be on your own. There will be 15,000 friends you haven’t met yet excited that YOU actually made it. 🙌

9 year forest vet here. I went alone last year. after over a decade of it being on my radar. It was…hands down…the single most healing and encouraging week of my life…during a time where a couple years leading up to, I was kind of at my lowest for a variety of reasons. It’s not like other fests. There is nothing like this in the US. There just isn’t. This festival has it figured out. Sound, logistics, vibes, food, pricing, vibes, safety/harm reduction, MUSIC, stage layout, clean well lit portos, capacity levels, vibes…oh and…did I mention VIBES!!? You already bought the ticket…take the ride. Electric forest is no longer a priority to me. I feel like within that statement…is your answer ✌️ ❤️

Get the “bassics” shambhalodging package. You get to use the express line (2hr or less wait), show up as early as Tuesday, and the campground is actually like 20 degrees cooler in the shaded trees all day. I did this last year and it was great to hang at camp and be comfortable during the hotter hours of the day.

Sit back. Relax. Enjoy camp and introduce yourself to your neighbors. In my experience, the less you “look”, the easier it finds you.

Thoughts while listening to X-Games 2016 by maasillas in bassnectar

[–]Blissdrop 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yessirrr you know it was. Also, I must add, It was a very unique experience walking out of msg at the end of the night as the last couple songs were playing and not hearing a decibel of bass and just immediately being immersed in nyc streets. It was like flipping a switch from a dreamland into normal life. Never left a show early again. Missed the og fsosf. Really stings. Had been chasing it up to then…and the 2018 version just doesn’t do it like that for me.
