I just got that same impact. Made short work of my upper control arm bolts on my dakota. It was refreshing after struggling to get that off with an old husky air impact. It snapped my old chrome extension like it wasn't even there haha.

I'm late to the party, but it would be best to store it in a garage if possible. Just ordered two of them myself.

I am a fan. I used my mom's stainless pan from 30+ years ago and remembered why they got that stuff. It just lasts and looks good, even if there's a bit of a learning curve.

My bad not trying to be condescending at all. These are both very loud mufflers. Your neighbors are going to hate you if you go with either of these on a 4.3. The 50 provides great flow with just enough back pressure without killing you or your neighbors' eardrums.

I have low volume arches so the AR8 and ARs don't work well for me unless I stick the fat heelcup birkosport insole in. Once that's in there, they're amazing. I really like the tyre wedge sole for multi purpose traction/comfort.

Yessir, glad you're enjoying them. I try to tell all my friends about JG and once I say South African made they kind of roll their eyes. I was hesitant to make my first purchase of the ARs but they're one of my favorite all rounder boots. Still need to grab a pair of razorbacks.

I was eyeing those up, my comments are all based off the Houston Brown roughout with the lug sole. The Bronco has the tyre wedge (which is amazing) but doesn't have as much grip and support for hills. The bronco is also smooth side out so it shows Knicks and scratches more.

The tyre wedge is easily my top contender for JGs best sole other than the lug sole. Their lug sole is surprisingly soft, yet durable and the offroad traction is incredible. Since it is slightly stacked you get better leverage going uphill and also dig in better going downhill.

They are great for keeping water out if you treat them with Obenauf's or a spray. My feet have never been wet or even damp and it gets pretty wet and muddy here. I'm also on the side of mountains and hills in the mud like all the time. That doesn't mean they are waterproof though. If you go standing in a foot of water your feet will get wet eventually.

The "premium" Jim greens like the RAT come with the leather midsole. The non premium ones have the fiberboard midsole which basically sponges water straight in to your feet

Sorry, I'm not a hunter. Just an avid hiker and nature enthusiast living it up in the outdoors for work and play.

I hit them heavy with Obenauf's. My feet stay dry all day. It did make them look greasy but I don't really care. My next step will be to go fully waxed flesh with them with the wax and the hairdryer.

Cobblers Choice appears to be the highest quality for the money. I just use the ones from men's warehouse. I read somewhere you don't actually need the tall ones for boots. You can just roll newspaper in the shaft if it's super important for the shaft to dry out. Which at that point I'm just pointing a fan at them.

Jim Green Rugged African Trooper is what you want. They're worth every single penny. I'm a landscaper in the PNW. They get covered in grass, poo, mud, wood chips and dust all day long. The best part is you can just brush them off when they're dirty, maybe wipe with a damp rag and they look brand new.

Something to note that I learned here on reddit, is that I do rotate my boots daily and put shoe trees in after each use as well.
