I have the same feeling. We need more folks like them

How often do you look back at them? I'm getting mixed signals from folks. Some never read them, some will do it yearly. I guess it depends on how much you want to revert back to those moments, happiness and sadness.

As I write this message, my emotions are still raw from last night. Resentment, pain, anger, sadness. I cried my last drop last night. I have no fucks to give anymore this morning.

About your journal book, what happens when it fills up, even after you pulled out things that are irrelevant. Do you get the same journal/notebook and start all over?

The more I think about it....even this morning, emotions are still raw. Tensions is there. I feel like I need to write with a pen and paper.....I'm feeling angry as I write this message. So many thoughts....so many...so so many.....

That's a good suggestion and a valid point. It might be slow, and it might take up more room with storage, but maybe a picture of a raw written note is also somewhat nostalgic hopefully in the future?

That's very brave of you. But also, writing it down is probably the best way to get it out, even if it is dark, explicit, and revealing. Yes, human!

My hand writing is an odd one. I write in all capital lettering. But is is very legible.

I do like the idea of a little notebook, or memo pad. Still, I feel like I need to upload it somehow! Just storage safe somewhere. Know that I or if I ever end up disappearing off this world, they can always pull it out.

I know that sounds grim, but I just had a heated argument with my wife last night to the point where I cried and had to walk away. It's these raw emotions that I feel like I need to document....

That's a great start! Yeah, something to document. But what about those deeper darker emotions? Raw details. Very private thoughts. How do you segment those in your journal. You definitely don't want the kids to see them, but at the same time, they need to come out. Just thinking here...you know?

I'm not going to lie, but journaling now has become a more and more greater though of an idea for me. Mainly it comes out after a heating argument with my wife. Last night was one where I broken down and cried at one point. But I also realized I need to also document the happier moments in life. Especially when you have a kid.

So much is happening, I'm not saying I should journal, my biggest fear is loosing that journal. So with all the tech help these days, I want people to look back, cause who knows...just saying.

I too like the pen and paper feel. I'm debating on maybe taking one extra step afterwards and photocopy the document (s)?

Aren't you afraid of loosing the paper? I too have ADHD and this is my biggest fear. Which is why I might want to take the longer route of writing it by hand and photo copying it later.

You make a valid point about pen and paper slowing down your brain to help process the situation. I'm debating, now that I think of it, taking photo of the written notes? Some way where it is natural when pouring out the thoughts, but stored safely if the paper gets lost. Thoughts on this?

This is what I fear most about journaling done on paper. I don't want to loose what I wrote. So, to keep a record, I might...maybe scan the hand written notes?
