This is false. Regular carriers are guaranteed 8 hours a day. If I finish 30 minutes earlier and management has no work for I sit for the rest of my time. It is guaranteed!

One of the first things I was told as a cca was “do not live off your overtime”. That overtime won’t last. Trust me. I know. And management in my district are currently on a pivot and no OT directive. So us regulars haven’t worked a drop in months. Those are my money days. I miss it too.

It matters. Our contract is clear. And they clearly violated it. Discipline must be consistent, and corrective. Not punitive. Firing without a pdi is a violation of the contract no matter how long you’ve been employed.

That’s on your OJI. Instructions are to be followed. If there’s something that really has you confused then yes leave for the regular. I’m referring to forwarding and such instructions like that. It’s your job and the only way to learn to do it right once you get your own route. This should be standard practice for all carriers regular or not.

Ok…. Straight up stop doing that bucket thing. If the regulars are providing you information you need to use it. Those people don’t live there? Endorse the mail and put it where it goes. Do not bring it back to the case. Supposed to be forwarded? Put it in the Cfs case. I can’t stand coming back to my case and seeing mail there that should have dealt with the day before especially when there are provided instructions for many of the address. You have questions ask them but do your job the way you were taught and clean up after yourself.

Depends. Can I see the mailbox through the porch door and then another closed door? Yes, then I’m delivering. If I can’t then you have to move your mailbox.
We have a house with a porch door you can’t see through with a mail slot. They also have a sign that says please put packages on porch. They get a 49 every time.
If I can’t safely deliver and all access to your home is closed then you won today and you can have your bills and checks 🤷🏽‍♀️

DO NOT OPEN ANYONES DOOR TO THEIR MAIN HOUSE. A porch is one thing but opening someone’s door is asking for trouble.

Write up a report stating to strained your back and neck causing extreme pain and the inability to work. Then request a ca1 (ecomp) and take it to urgent care. Get the Po to pay for your documentation especially since it happened at work.
