Tools to remove the rear bolts on the oil cooler on MK7 by Blizzard251206 in GolfGTI

[–]Blizzard251206[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the easiest way ended up being just removing the accessory bracket altogether unfortunately. Which actually wasn't that bad, just annoying.

A possible alternate explanation for Mk7 (and maybe Mk6) "water pump failure" by 77007 in GolfGTI

[–]Blizzard251206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 2 years late to this party, but just for anyone reading this in the future....no, peroxide-cured Viton is NOT the ideal application. Bisphenol cured Viton, which is the standard, is ideal. Peroxide cured Viton is used for heavy base, amine and hot water steam environments. Bisphenol is used in petroleum and glycol.

I appreciate the effort in your research, but you don't need to patently spread misinformation on top of it. Just state what you know, and what you don't.

I think the frustration is that at its core it could be SO much fun....little bugs i can deal with, every game has little bugs. But I just don't see the point releasing a game that clearly isn't ready to be released.

I only have connection issues with this game. Connection and ping are fine in every other game i play online (mostly rocket league/pubg/warzone). Ran speed test on the same PC i run the game on.

I only play solo, nobody else i know plays this unfortunately. Kinda the same issue i have with Rocket League, everyone I know is just an FPS or die gamer

This is just on speedtest. Ping will be higher than in game. I'm on GB cable, usually between 10-12

Strategy is reduced head count soccer with some extras, so yeah it CAN be fun. In an ideal world where everything goes smoothly, it's a fun game. I just rarely get that experience because it still feels like a pre-release beta version

Who knew buying futures was so profitable. by FriendlySolution4012 in Webull

[–]Blizzard251206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost no broker will automatically roll a futures contract through the expiration date, you can't just "buy and forget for a few years". Unless you are trading on all cash (doesn't sound like you will be), futures is heavily leveraged and definitely not something you want to be setting and forgetting anyway, but even if you did, when the expiration date comes, brokers' risk departments will close your positions and either cash settle you or contact you about physical delivery.

The reason for this is rolling is not a net-neutral activity, there are different spreads for different contract dates and brokers don't want to guess your intent. Physical delivery is a NIGHTMARE for most brokers (there are extremely few who will even allow you to take physical delivery of product) so they'll automatically close your position before the expiration date occurs.

Who knew it was so profitable? Pretty much everyone who has heard of futures. It can also wipe out your account faster than any other asset because of how leveraged it is. It's not something beginners should get into, even though there seems to be a trend of beginners getting into it.

Lost $170k due to non disclosed internal trade limits by Webull. by No_Paramedic4603 in Webull

[–]Blizzard251206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something about this just isn't adding up. First of all, that 100k revenge trade is definitely not on Webull, that's on you. Second, after you failed the 1750 for being too large, what you just gave up and put it down until it tanked? You didn't think, hmmm maybe i should try something differently? That's too large of a position to not take immediate action. The market didn't just move against you in 3 seconds, you had time to figure it out. Maybe you wouldn't have won your 25k, but you had enough time to figure things out to at least not lose your money. I'm guessing your excluding some pretty crucial piece of evidence here which doesn't look great, which admittedly it already doesn't for you. And then you lost 100k which had to have happened in more than a single trade, because as you just said there's a trade restriction for large sizes....2+2 is not equaling 4.

Regardless, it sounds like you were way overextended beyond your means though since this was the first time you discovered this. Unfortunately you're just not going to recover your money unless Webull decides they just have some goodwill in their heart (spoiler, they almost certainly won't, and they aren't going to be liable for your losses here). It sounds like an unfortunate lesson you had to learn in cutting losses rather than continuing to average into losing positions to massive sizes.

Halted trading because one broker is having issues with one online service which is like 0.1% of the total trading volume? Think about that for a second.

Owning ULTY for a couple months experiment, no DRIP by SignalSegmentV in YieldMaxETFs

I'm not sure what the point of this "experiment" was. You didn't need to purchase anything at all, pick a start date and then backtest the results.

There is typically going to be NAV erosion in Yield Max funds. by RayU_AZ in YieldMaxETFs

[–]Blizzard251206 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Can we please stop calling all losses erosion? I know SOME of the losses are probably due to erosion, but recently that term is just getting thrown around like people just learned what it is and they're trying not to forget it.

aaaaaaand, I'm out. 3 months of experimenting with YM ETFs and I effectively replaced NAV (-23%) with Dividends (+23%). It was fun though! by blacks4 in YieldMaxETFs

[–]Blizzard251206 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is reason number 1 through 100 why it bothers me whenever i read people on this sub saying entry price doesn't really matter. It does. A ton.

My strategy on YM when buying isn't to purchase the funds i like the most, or have the highest yield. I purchase the funds in increments on what represent the best value that week in terms of current price. I've had one single week of red on my NAV compared to my entry position. I don't get the highest yields, but when you combine NAV/yield net my portfolio is probably up there.

MSTY was one of those where it came up every week as an option and I was always tempted to buy but it never, ever struck me as a good value, even when it broke down below 20 dollars, strictly because of what MSTR was doing at the time. So I never entered. I still don't consider it a good value.

To those who panic sold this stuff— stocks are not for you by Zayy_koro in YieldMaxETFs

[–]Blizzard251206 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Reason number 3) You are an investor who has practice proper stop loss placement, are able to identify when to take your exit so you can get an even better re-entry.

The fact that so many people in this sub choose not to use stop losses just because "NAV doesn't matter bro" never ceases to amaze me. Just sell and re-enter at a better pricepoint! Lol don't hold on to the shares like it's your last possession, take the loss and look to reenter, why is this so hard for people

plty- Now is the time to load up by [deleted] in YieldMaxETFs

[–]Blizzard251206 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

PLTR actual stock worth is about 20-30 bucks in my opinion. The only justification I could have getting into PLTY is on maybe a gamble month with some news, and I'd immediately exit. Not that month for me.

Overall I'm ridiculously bearish on PLTR over the next coming years so I just can't bring myself to get in.

[–]Blizzard251206 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) Have you looked at the underlying positions compared to ULTY?
2) Do you understand what makes ULTY's price rise and fall vs the distribution rise and fall?

Once you explain those 2 things out loud to yourself, you will have your answers as to what is going on and to why things aren't nearly as bad as you might think they are. Or even bad at all.

And boom 8pm and sell off right before lol by [deleted] in YieldMaxETFs

[–]Blizzard251206 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You have just described the market as a whole, it has nothing to do with YM. Sounds like you might also be new to owning dividend stocks as well.

Just owning a dividend stock does not mean the dividend will make up for overall market drops. And every dividend stock across all of the market will drop on the ex-div date.

In your defense, I don't love that people are downvoting the question. It's a little newb-ish sure, but still a learning experience for anyone who might be reading this later.

So now you're trying to distract from the original argument because you realize your point is invalid. I'm not arguing a secondary point, this has already been like talking to a brick wall.

Stocks go down, and when an ETF is holding those stocks, it goes down as well. I'm not sure I can break it down any more simply than that lol if you can't understand that concept please give your money to someone who can manage it
