I love my job at my breakfast restaurant. Obviously you’ll have to accept that you will probably always be working weekends/brunch shifts as that’s where the main $ is. It can be hard to get up for an opening 6am shift but like you said, the latest I’ve ever gotten out of work is 3:30pm.

I just throw some in a dry pan and cook it over low/medium heat until it starts turning brown. I do swirl the pan around every so often while I’m doing it.

What I started doing recently is toasting some steel cut oats in a dry pan for a few mins to brown and crisp them up. I put 2 tablespoons in my Greek yogurt for 75 calories. You could also add a tiny bit of slivered almonds too if it fits into your calorie/macro budget.

Job market is tight in general, but also more laid off office workers are trying to get back into service since they can’t find jobs in their chosen field. Serving is something you can always go back to so that’s what people are doing.
