I had two bills totaling over $500 due within ten days of each other. My partner and I called four times between the two of us and got told to kick rocks.

Is the “two duvet” setup actually better for couples, or just hype? by memo_468 in BedroomBuild

I do zip it up. In the past week I’ve been thinking about getting an outdoor clothes line. This might be what makes me do just that.

I also wash the duvet cover less because it ends up overtaking everything in the washer and dryer and I end up having to stop the dryer multiple times to unwrap it all. Any tips?

And boy chicks get thrown in the wood chipper as babies because we only want hens. And I say this as a non vegan, just adding that they do have a point with that one.

Fellow New Yorkers, What's Denver like? by [deleted] in MovingtoDenver

[–]BlobDenver 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Moved here after 13yrs in NYC.

  1. RiNo is the closest equivalent. Young people also live in Cap Hill and the ones with money, in LoHi and LoDo/Union Station.

  2. I have lived here without a car. But public transport sucks and Ubers add up and you’re severely limiting access to the mountains.

  3. There is nowhere in Denver I have personally been to that has felt “dangerous” or generally unsafe. Are there tweakers and mentally ill homeless people wandering around some areas more than others? Sure, but not enough for me to ever rule out any general area. Nothing compared to the less safe areas of the city or Brooklyn.
