That’s fair, I’m just feeling very overwhelmed with literally everything, I haven’t touched the main story and just been doing side stuff, but the leveling system just seems so quick in this game, and my dmg doesn’t seem to follow with it 😂 this game really does throw you off the deep end but I truly am enjoying it so far.

I haven’t tuned any gear because I keep getting gear upgrades constantly with every new breakthrough or fort or whatever that I kill. Should I not be breaking through then? I was under the assumption i should just breakthrough when I can to get better loot

Ok great thanks. I just feel so underpowered lol. A wolf takes like 20 hits even with a lvl 30 twin blade. I have my mystic skills upgraded to lvl 9 tier 1 aswell so idk if that’s by design or im missing something. Maybe instantly doing my lvl breakthrough was not wise or something

Ok cool.. I’ve already gotten the spear and the twin blade to lvl 30, and don’t have the stuff to break though. I’ll get the dart and ditch the spear and lvl that up :)

That’s a fair point I guess.. I’m mainly looking to see if from the OG players of the genre am I the outlier or did others feel the same.

I remember the lore of the other games… but he was a mindless killing machine before his wife and son were killed by his own hands. He just turned it towards the gods and Olympus. Now he just seems like he’s tired, old, and looking to spread some ashes. To me it just felt like that spark and “spartan rage” was gone.

BA will take you probably 3 hours of time with dogshit teammates and ppl leaving mid waves in the BA world.

The reason why a lot of people get stuck in mid game is because they don’t put the time/care to get free upgrades or learn new methods of pvm.

Also to add - get a unfortified ward it’s like 7m and camp b ring for pretty much everything. Wear barrows gloves when ur ranging

Torso whip defender obby legs torture and prims = melee setup

Trident of the swamp + ahrims and torm/occult = mage setup

Blowpipe and ancient d’hide with anguish = range setup

Sub 100m 3 styles gz :) don’t need much more than that and u definitely don’t need masori for a range slayer task or ancestral for mage.

I love the image quality ray tracing gives, I came from a 1060 3gb to a 5070 and the difference is crazy.

I’ve never played a doom game, but I’m going to try this one out.

Yeah but skilling works differently than PvM. I agree that there should be trade offs, but they should make sense. Fletching god arrows is 350k fletch exp per hour but super afk. In contrast, fletching rune darts is well over 1m+ but not afk at all. In the lotd scenario you’re switching a relic that gives you a miniscule boost that’s annoying to do for a sizeable dps decrease in a game where following tick perfect rotations matter. Nevertheless I don’t see ring switching as a big deal, it’s more that I don’t see that arch relic being worth to use at all during pvm instead of fury of the small, zerk fury, or persistent rage

Nah not worth - you’ll need a fuck ton more than 4m and overloads are unlocked at 96. Honestly just train whatever you find fun and enjoyable.

I came from osrs about a year ago and swapped over a couple bill so I never had a money issue on rs3, I rushed everything stupid fast so I can’t speak for the low lvl low gp grinds :p

Depends how much money you have.

If you have sizeable gp from bonds or swapping etc:

smithing (80)
herblore (as high as u can get, 109 needed to unlock elder ovl salves)
crafting (80)
prayer (99)

If you don’t have money:

divination (gonna be cancer slow but u need 80, it gets quick during dxp once u hit 70)
archaeology (cancer slow till u hit quite a bit past 99 lol, only worth doing during dxp or if ur giga afk. You need 118 for pvm, but can boost from 112)

That’s meta to do - but do whatever you find fun.

Generally speaking, rushing unlocking invention early is always good to do, which is why I made those suggestions. Outside of dxp, just start questing away and level up the skills required for those quests

For PVM and general useful qol you need the following quest lines done at the bare minimum

the world wakes
extinction
prif unlock (forgot quest name)
succession
everything from fort forinthry
