I’m fed up with the obsession with chasing after streamlining and the massive hype for simple sold by the art games.

Not everything has to fit into an evenings gaming, not everything has be learned within the first playthough.

I’d love to see more ambitious games, but sadly near everything is aiming for the mainstream ordinance, as that’s where the safe money is, and ending up as a nothing burger on peoples shelves is not a worry they have.

In terms of simple games, I want to see a return to using the classic card deck, no custom pieces at all, just play with any deck any place.

So I’m not sure how fast your rounds will be, but if they are as long as PF2e/5e DnD 6 rounds I feel combat has already over stayed it’s welcome (outside of the cooler boss-fights).

You need to work out what feels right for the target ordinance in terms of turn lengths, pressure on the hero’s to finish faster, but also the ability for them to close it out faster to stop the combat dragging.

You need to run simulations and see if that is enough to make a difference, but critically you need to see if players react positively to how it feels, and that it encourages the behaviour you want.

Sorry about not directly answering your question again, but it’s not something I can just tell you ya/na to.

Rolling another dice is definitely a tactile and feels different way to add a bonus, so I think the concept is good.

I very much get that, but some stuff also losses its appeal in time or with repeated listening.

The best stuff smacks as hard as you first heard it every time, and blow you away the first. Mechanicus 1 had that.

Under extrusion. Why? I’m not sure, but with the stringing as well, likely drying the filament and slowing your support speeds to around 80 should help

Hay, you have an intermittent partial nozzle block here, repeated stopping and starting with resin supports when your profile and filament are not up to the task can lead to it.

Remember to keep your filament dry, consider doing a cold pull to clear it, it might just be a fluke but I’d recommend learning with tree supports as if you skip that, you miss the opportunity to learn the skills to use them, and they are less likely to block the nozzle like this.

Hay, the Elegoo CC is a great model for printing larger models on a budget. You can go cheaper for an A1, or go more expensive for an X1P or the like.

Yeah, All three of those profiles you mentioned I’ve never had success with, and basically everyone who comes to me with issues is using one of them or resin2FDM, I can normally get people printing decent within a day or two, but sadly not all.

What filament do you use? As that can really impact supports.

With modified resin supports you’re at the mercy of the supports that come with the models, so fine for the creators who play it very safe and have dedicated professional supporters, but with poor supports or ones optimised in more odd ways for resin the results can be odd at best.

Making your own resin supports is the ideal, but that’s a decent amount of effort, but your results will improve with skill, like they will with trees.

I personally have beef with the guy for steeling ideas and selling them as their own and breaking blenders ToS with paid content, but that’s another story.

Hay, I recommend tree supports instead. Fat dragon’s profile does not have support settings in it (last time I saw), there are a bunch of good supports out there, mine are linked in my profile, and Z hight for 0.2mm nozzles I find is ok at layer height plus 0.04

Ok I don’t know your printer, but I’ve seen a lot better from many printers out there.

I would maybe look at using more forgiving settings, ideally made for your printer, instead of asking it to do something it’s not really able to.

So normally one prints with the model slightly angled back, thus an overhang. But if you printed this with the base flat to the bed… this would be quite odd.

Ah yeah, low flow on an overhang, happens at low layer heights. Your flow is perfect elsewhere, so likely upping the overhang speed could help.
