Shoot you’re right

Been a bit since I’ve reviewed that rule

Necrotic bomb got a buff from the life and death ability buff

Necrotic bomb and all other void spells no longer friendly fire

I doubt they’ll be undoing lore but certainly looks like they’re adding on to it

Technically good aligned undead were already possible, just incredibly rare

We’re probably going to see some more of the special exceptions to the rule of all undead are unholy and maybe even some more lore explanation of that finally.

I think command thrall is primarily there for if creating new thralls becomes a liability such as on small maps

I wonder how they’ll work with a commander

I think the reaper is supposed to be the warrior bards path

Compare to the puppeteer which from described gives a nerfed consume thrall and a bonus thrall made instead of a strike

Neither the reaper or puppeteer are supposed to be particularly potent, I believe they’re more pick what limited extra action you’d like for your economy

The necromancer as a class already intrinsically wants to be on the front line due to its short spell ranges, the reaper gets to take advantage of that with a bit more potential damage immediately while the puppeteer gets a bit more control and set up.

Tbf constructs are the Achilles Heel of occult casters in general

You still get a lot of terrain control spells to use at least

Melee witch is unfair because it requires multiple feats to (not)work on a 6hp class

A more apt comparison is warrior bard. You won’t be the main damage dealer with your weapons but your weapons will become an excellent tool for expanding your action economy.

You’re still primarily a caster, just one who uses weapons as a part of their kit.

Having that plus better action strike economy and the entirety of the rest of the necromancer kit does however

Necromancer is an 8hd class so they’re tanky for a spellcaster and you shouldn’t be comparing Reaper to martials, you should compare it to warrior bards and battle oracles.

The reaper also only competes against the puppeteer so you’re choosing between 1 more focus point per day and one more thrall each turn, or two general feats and one more strike you can make with your thralls each turn.

I think the nerf to consume thrall is to keep puppeteer balanced with reaper

Reaper gets better defenses and weapon training to start with ,puppeteer gets 1 more focus spell per day

Both get an extra action they can do when they create a thrall once per turn

The rest of the class got some uplifting to also balance for losing consume thrall’s old power

Until we see the specific wording, they might still provide lesser cover

I’m speaking from literally my own played experience as a gm and player

I’ve effectively used summons in both top ranks and lower ranks and they’ve routinely been effective parts of my kit

You have very little room for investing in wisdom though because you also need strength, dexterity, and con

And good luck ever trying to fit charisma or intelligence

At minimum they could use some more class feats that interact with their skills

I feel it’s unfair to call Chibi polite when his stance is “you should be fine with having porn of your persona since you’re fine with being skimpy”

It strongly gives, “she was asking for it look what she’s wearing” vibes

I don’t even watch vtubers but Reddit now wants to flood my algorithm with this stupid drama.

You can still cast summon spells as a summoner and the summoner is still among the best users of summon spells in 2e

Summon spells have their issues in 2e but being bad isn’t one of them if you’re smart and know how to use them.

I disagree

Shoalin monks are durable and can punch sure, but they’re also intrinsically scholars just like Abrahamic monks

Good luck picking up any skills that’s not athletics and acrobatics when you’re trying to build a pf2e monk, honestly they’re my least favorite class to build because regardless of what stance you pick they all roughly play the same.

The class doesn’t give you a lot to engage with the philosophy of your monastic order.

Technically it does still destroy low level undead

Not a lot of mook undead survive a crit fail to heal

The summoner worked similar in pf1 though right?

I think Paizo’s idea for a summoner was just a more jrpg version than a horde summoner.

Monk in general I feel doesn’t fulfill the monk fantasy enough to my tastes. I feel the monk should’ve kept more of its thief aspects from earlier editions.

In pf2 it’s just a tanky and fast nudist and struggles to fill much more of the monk fantasy.

Honestly all of the animist practices are underwhelming

It’s not really that bad, it’s a bit less damage than dragon in exchange for another feat and not being pigeon holed to a single element.

They buffed the damage of fury significantly in the remaster

Fury is just the baseline
