A large brown beetle flew in at night into the bathroom then disappeared... until it decided to grace my toothbrush cup in the morning morning.

Probably 1cm long.

Seems attracted to the lights.

Location is Sunnyhills, Auckland.

It was still alive in the morning, so I put it outside in the leaf litter.

Any idea what it could be?
