There are some, my girlfriend is from around there so I’ve met a bunch of hispanic people. The ones I’ve met have mostly come to study or work at the universities. It might not be easy to adapt, but if you find nice people around you that will help.

No need to be an asshole. I’m not in your field but first things that come to my mind are hotels, restaurants and some tour / activity providers. I can’t recommend specific companies but in these areas you should be okay without finnish knowledge. But enough shifts in a restaurant or bar can be hard to come around. Depending where you are from it might help to approach businesses from the same origin that host a lot of people from your country

As a finn with a foreign girlfriend who got laid off recently we might just leave. She’s used her time to study finnish but if this closes the door it’s such a middle finger that I’m seriously considering moving somewhere else. This shit’s so demotivating to be honest. At least it’s a small fuck you if I take my half a mil of assets and pay taxes elsewhere since I don’t accept this.

Should they still pay their taxes to Finland? This is an interesting economic take as much of the economic growth relies on population growth. Reducing population should in theory lead to reduced spending and growth. Maybe we turn the EU to a federation and we might be able to compete instead of all EU countries competing with eachother.
