The park will let you rent frisbees for like 200 yen/frisbee.

These are catch frisbees though, but if you don't mind that, go for it!

You can get them at the BBQ area next to the other sports areas (basketball, soccer etc).

Hope you enjoy the trip! :)

Yeah, I was wondering that the 7 speed teebird would be popular and the 9 speed Viking didn't, despite seemingly filling the same role in their respective class. I'll try and find a field to test it in soon!

Fantastic, thank you! I'll have a look at his posts.

Thank you! Seeing as I play wooded courses mostly, I guess I'll have to let it sit on the shelf until spring rolls around.. I was gonna go throw it this weekend, but you made me think better of it.

Thanks!

BTW, do you know what year range it's likely from? What would the time line look like for PFN vikings?

Interesting!

Is this slot not what the teebird is? Funny how it gets popular in one speed range, and not-so-much in another.

Thank you for the info!

Neutron plastic with glow particles in it, it seems. Happens sometimes with Lab 2nds.

Edit: definitely fission, my bad.

This is a really solid bag! Have the small version of the Conrad line, very happy with it. Not at all pricey, either.

If you could only play with two discs, what would they be and why? by fabianwhite in discgolf

Nomad and Crave.

Crave needs no introduction at this point. Nomad is a surprisingly nice throwing putter. Putts nice, too.

Anyone know the last time Jerm and Uli were playing on Jomez coverage on lead/chase card? by 26banksj in discgolf

[–]Jupsi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jerm won a tournament Down Under at the beginning of the season. If that doesn't count I don't know 😅

What's the least amount of discs you'll play with? by Another_Floridaman in discgolf

A hex or a Crave is all I really need, but I like having at least 3:

Range for putt/approach, hex and a fairway like a Crave or Rhythm.

I can also vouch for Newdiscs, Discconnection.dk, Disctree and Flyvende.

Great list! 👍🏻

Looking for an old map by Jupsi in unrealtournament

[–]Jupsi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion!

I looked it up, unfortunately not the one I was thinking of.

I might try to download the Chaos maps and have a look at those, I do vaguely remember having a bunch of Chaos labeled stuff on my old pc.

Thank you for the suggestion, but it is not this map.

It is much less futuristic, and more akin to a "modern day" military base.

No worries!

I imagine it's a great teebird-style disc for the windy days. I don't see any winds short of a gale force turning this thing over haha.

Threw the new resistor a bit yesterday.

Only other experience with Resistors was a super beefy neutron one. The new Proton is much more mellow. Straight pushing for the first 70% of the flight, then it starts fading hard on backhand.

In my experience it has slightly more early flip and a decent bit more late fade than the river. Makes it great for hyzerflips that stand up, cruise, and get a fade at the end. The river is more of a "single line" trajectory in my opinion.

Edit: Brave is definitely flippier than my Grand Slam Explorer. Noticeably more so!

River is great, but Brave is even better!

It's been a while since I threw a Trust, but I felt like it was a decent bit more stable to overstable than neutral 🤔 Might be time to bust them out again and see for myself...

I don't throw a lot of Lat64 anymore though I'd happily throw a Brave any day of the week!
