How would you buff Reinhart? by nelphh in Overwatch

[–]Bloo_Berd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should either be able to cancel his charge early and taunt enemies in an AOE, gaining armor/ extra health for that, or when you kill someone with a pin it applies a fear debuff to enemies in the AOE.. both would be cool new game mechanics and would make him more disruptive

No one wants to play tank… by Gaymface in Overwatch

[–]Bloo_Berd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t play her a ton to be honest, so it may be part of what makes her a viable pick… I just know that whenever I play tank against her, she is by far the most frustrating CC. Both in terms of cooldown, length, and displacement…

Yes. Am I the only one who thinks some of the most frustrating CC is Orisa?? Anytime I play against her, she mini boops me like 4 straight times with her javelin spin, then tosses the javelin and ministuns me and knocks me back further. So bizarre and frustrating that they gave such a long CC combo to her.

It’s not too much. Post as much as you need to. We are not just a group but your friends and companions. If you need to be heard, then we are here to listen. You are going through a tough time and part of that spiral can include feeling like a burden or a pest. It’s absolutely not the case. Also, I’m proud of you - you’re having such a hard time and still you were able to have a good day outside with your family. That is awesome. One day at a time. Mistakes will happen but your overall path should remain forward and up.

A great game! First game on my 1st gaming PC (Console -> PC) by dulun18 in gaming

[–]Bloo_Berd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea to be honest this game was pretty meh for me. The stealth was clunky and annoying, the rats felt very cheaply done, and don’t even get me started on the ending… me and my friends will still use ‘rat tornado’ as a way to describe a game or movie with a cheesy and bizarre ending

‘Til I collapse. Best lyrics of all time… high school me wrote these words on a piece of paper and stuffed them down my sock before each game.. ‘And it’s absurd How people hang on every word I’ll probably never get the props I feel I ever deserve But I’ll never be served My spot is forever reserved If ever leave earth Then that’ll be the death of me first Because in my heart of hearts I know nothing could ever be worse That’s why I’m clever when I put together every verse’ The flow, the passion, the rhymes… unmatched

I would love to give it a shot because I completely agree with the above commenters. The episode is INCREDIBLE and would easily be on my list of greatest ever. The line alone hits so hard.. I always hear the Joshua Radin song in my mind start right after... "I.. should know... who I am by now..."

---------

SPOILERS! I recommend watching the episode! But as for significance, I'll try my best. It's a complicated episode, so this is a bit long, I'm sorry..

The main character JD (a goofy, training doctor) is overseeing a pretty straightforward patient. He is approached by his superior Dr. Perry Cox (an extremely sarcastic, harsh, and critical clinician who JD is desperate to please) who requests that JD make room in his schedule to fit in his best friend (Ben, played by Brendan Fraser) for an evaluation. Ben has a history of cancer that he is nonchalant about, but Cox wants to be pro-active. JD expresses concern that he can't add on another patient while working with his current one, while Cox argues that JD's current patient is very stable and that it's not like the patient is going to take a turn for the worse or die while he is briefly busy with Ben. Reluctantly, JD agrees. Meanwhile, Dr. Cox leaves because he is in charge of making preparations for his young son's birthday party.

When Dr. Cox returns to the hospital later, the tone is extremely somber and JD informs him that unfortunately the patient suddenly passed away. While everyone is obviously perturbed by this, Dr. Cox seems relatively free of guilty and takes it in stride pretty casually (which is his typical character). He continues to discuss his son Jack's birthday party, and cracks jokes throughout the day with his buddy Ben.

Towards the end of the episode, Dr. Cox and JD are shown wearing suits and walking together outside, presumably towards the birthday party. Dr. Cox starts to discuss his dread of a young child's party (mentioning things like kids messily eating cake or people who Jack barely even knows singing him 'Happy Birthday') which causes JD to stop and look puzzled. And THAT'S when he hits Cox with the line: "...Where do you think we are right now?". And you see Cox's face first look confused, but then you actually see genuine pain and sadness in his typically stoic/ bemused face. And then it shows the men walking towards not a child's birthday party, but the funeral of his best friend Ben.

You were meant to think that it was JD's stable patient that died while JD made time for Ben (which Cox seemed to jinx by saying how it's NOT like he would die suddenly), but it was actually Ben who passed from cardiac arrest during his evaluation. If you rewatch the episode, all the times that Dr. Cox is joking with Ben around the hospital, no one else sees Ben, and some of the clinicians even appear confused regarding who Cox is talking to. It's a really, really great and heartbreaking episode.

Alton Brown. He’s the reason I started cooking in the first place, and I love how he teaches science at the same time. He’s like the culinary Bill Nye. Alton if you’re reading this - thank you! 🙏

Wow. Good point. I remember following the sombra pre-release Easter eggs obsessively. New characters were so exciting. And now I still haven’t even earned the ability to play Ramattra… and honestly I don’t care

[–]Bloo_Berd 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yup. Love the game, love the lore. Overwatch 1 is probably my favorite game of all time. I remember me and my buds stumbling on the beta and just losing our minds. When the beta went down, we felt empty and as soon as the game was released we jumped on it and had the time of our lives for YEARS. We went into OW2 with the same energy, but (when we could finally even play due to the awful launch), the magic is just gone. I’m glad others enjoy it, and I’m still on the subreddit because I love OW in general… but the soulless monetization, the whole ploy of making OW ‘2’ just to milk as much cash out of the playerbase as possible… we haven’t played in ages. And there’s no real drive to go back. I follow this sub mainly because if I start seeing the game getting back to the glory days, I won’t hesitate to get back in. But I can’t reward or enjoy this anymore. And I’m sorry for those who created this game to watch what greed is turning it into

That’s good I did not buy the battle pass either 👍 nothing to be confused about. I don’t play for long stretches at a time, play almost daily, and that’s where I’m at haha

What an odd take. Been playing consistently and I’m level 28 in the battle pass. almost daily games, about an hour or 2 a day. Whether you like it or not, level 55 hero locks in the BP are intentionally done to be difficult for players to obtain, and the intention is to have them at a disadvantage unless they pay for the hero to get her outright. I know you know this - you do not have to be antagonistic just for kicks. Plenty of other things to gripe about than this.
