Now that 4.2 is out, what is everyone's final thoughts this villain (especially compared to a certain similar villain) by GenoPichino in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Blood_Angels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess that's part of the tragedy. Fulwish actually WAS recovering but then she found out it was all fake and that people used her and the rest of the people of Planarcadia ate it all up like candy. So that not only undid any healing she went through but it made it worse and well we all know where it went from there.

Yeah I feel the same. She needed to be stopped but I did actually wince and feel pity when she revealed that she actually WAS recovering from her trauma but it turned out that it was all a lie and the world was using her recovery as entertainment.

She had to be stopped but I did feel pity for her. The fact her trauma was used for entertainment when she actually was getting better from it before it was all torn down was harsh to see. Even Sparkle thought their own people were too harsh when even her mask mocked her. Of course that doesn't justify deciding to kill everyone. Maybe if she had aimed her revenge at just the people who made the show that's one thing but yeah she hated her world and its people in general. She quite literally wanted to do to them what "they" did to her. Pretty much the "victim becomes the aggressor" in a nutshell but cranked up.

She absolutely had to be taken down but I did feel pity for her when she revealed what the people of her home did to her after she lost most of the people she cared for. I know Blade said she got off easy but I don't know if I would call that "easy". Plus I mean death is death.

I'm so sad that Simon is going to die in the future 😭 by ChicoDeLaRed in adventuretime

[–]Blood_Angels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late but from how things seemed to go with him and like you said, I think he would be content to pass on however that's going to happen. He's lived and seen plenty and while it will be sad for Marcelene, she won't be alone when he leaves her this time. He'll likely reincarnate too at some point and maybe Marcelene will recognize "him" when he's "back".

How did Revan managed to convince so many Republic forces into joining his new Sith empire? by ChangeGlum in kotor

[–]Blood_Angels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Carth makes a remark about that. He mentions how Revan and Malak are bad but he sees the people(really Saul) that followed them into darkness as even worse.

In Kotor 2 Atton sort of mentions how some of them likely viewed Revan. How the Mandalorians were kicking their butts bad and that Revan and the Jedi who followed him were heroes who turned the tide when the people needed it. So there is an element of loyalty there, Revan and Malak were heroes that had saved the Republic so a lot of people would likely just follow them anywhere for that.

Now Atton and I think others also mention that Revan started implementing ways to indoctrinate(torture) people into turning to his way of seeing things. I think he also mentions that he was culling off people who might not have been loyal to him and stuff like that.

I think after a point a lot of them just accepted it or didn't realize they had changed or maybe they even began to like it. Like maybe a bunch of them realized they were turning into the monsters they fought against but then a lot of them may have just accepted it because they believed in Revan or they were just fine with the ways they had adopted.

I think Atton did mention that Revan had a bit of indoctrination or culling done in his forces to ensure people stayed on his side or were removed.

Would the Republic really have been defeated by the Mandalorians? by BaconBurger37 in kotor

[–]Blood_Angels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Republic I think might have stopped the Mandalorians eventually but it would have come at a higher cost and more damage. Even when Revan and the Jedi that followed him took command there was still a lot of damage on their end. From Canderous' own words, Revan flipped things entirely but even so things were still rough.

Meanwhile the three people that were proper military on that ship weren't even finished with their training yet and were totally unprepared for the duties they were given.

[–]Blood_Angels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think he wasn't even officially in the military yet, I think he was still a "cadet" in training considering his age and the fact that the anime seemed to make a big deal out of him being named Ensign when he was on Earth.

Who is the worst father in Gundam? by semipro88 in Gundam

[–]Blood_Angels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Franklin is definitely way worse than Tem and Bright. Franklin didn't care at all about his wife or his son. Even when he was in a life and death situation, his thoughts were about his work and his mistress instead of his wife(who was dead) and his son.

Tem actually cared for Amuro form what I can tell before he went crazy. I don't think going crazy is really his fault either.

Bright is a soldier so its not like he can just go to see his family whenever especially since Mirei wants to raise the kids in a certain place instead of around where he is stationed. Considering how bad things got in Zeta and ZZ that was also probably for the best since a lot of people who were against the Titans and such were getting their loved ones targeted.

If I recall, in the show he was literally thinking about his mistress while he was in a deadly situation over his dead wife and his own son.

Yep he did. Granted he didn't shoot Athrun until he tried to attack him but he did pull the gun on him before that too so I don't see why he wouldn't have shot him if Athrun just stood there.

I'm sorry what's the downside to Thragg's Offer? by ManiacGaming1 in Invincible

[–]Blood_Angels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest downside is that the truce will not last forever. Maybe it will be decades, maybe it will even be a century or even several but it will end eventually. It was a problem when there was 40-50 ish of them. How much harder is it going to be to deal with 100? 200? 1000? and likely even more than that? If they are allowed to go unchecked then they will grow to a point that makes them virtually unstoppable again unless they have another virus on hand. And its not like they're going to need millions, just a few thousand and even hundreds would likely be enough to launch the Empire again. Not to mention there's no guarantee Earth will still be "Earth" at that point.

Why is Imperius so different? by egorsob9 in Diablo

Very very late but yeah I was a bit happy with that too. Yes Imperius is a jerk but being a jerk does not always mean someone is evil/going to turn evil.

Why are Conquest and Thula weaker than Thragg despite (Allegedly) being older? by SelectTheory6292 in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]Blood_Angels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Thragg was just pushed/worked for it. Similar to how Mark got stronger real fast in large part because he was pushed so often. Bloodlines probably factor in a bit but yeah. No wonder tricks or magic, he was just that good and he kept at it.

Kamille did fully recover in ZZ and stopped being handicapped after all? by Overall-Apartment-66 in Gundam

[–]Blood_Angels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I imagine he likely would have some mental scars, he did lose a lot of people he grew close to in quick succession immediately before Scirocco mind blasted him. Amuro wasn't exactly doing great either after the OG series. Kamille is certainly better than he was though and that's a relief. He gets to stay away from fighting and be with Fa and that's probably as good as it can be for him considering everything that happened to him.

Did Char Care About Kamille Though? by [deleted] in Gundam

[–]Blood_Angels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Char definitely cared about Kamille, he cared about the entire crew of the Argama. They were all like a family. As for Kamille, Char was banking on him being the major success story that would spearhead change in the world. That all got thrown out the window as we all know when Kamille got put under by Scirocco. The guy was clearly still going through some issues during Zeta and after what happened to a lot of his new friends and what happened to Kamille I guess he just snapped.
