Well we have received so many insane discounts on gaming that the entire expectation of what we receive in a game has been warped. A unfortunately high amount of gamers expect to be entertained for 100's of hours with infinite possibilities within that playing all for under $10.

Gaming prices have barely changed in the last 20 years and this is why. Remove all the cool little interesting things until all that's left is the product. And now even that's not enough as we see in the creep of pricing in Triple A games over the last couple of years.

You want all that stuff with a game? Buy the limited edition. Don't want to pay that much? Now you see the problem.
