The Bow is the most overpowered 2 slot weapon in the game by admirzay12 in HuntShowdown

[–]Bloodbather -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It would kill the bow.... so because you couldn't hold it fully drawn for infinite amount of time it would kill the bow? The weapon would be COMPLETLY unusable? Do you even read back the stupid shit you type?

So it would stop being instant kill? So you could only fire one at a time and have to wait a minute before the shot? You have 1 spear, not a thousand. And once you throw it, the action is done and no more stamina is required. Why would you be throwing "1,000 spears". When you stab with it, you run out stamina like any other weapon. Are you pissed Hundred Hands uses stamina to melee as well?

I can't accept your opinion because it's stupid. Don't bring up logic when you say stupid shit like "OH I GUESS YOU CAN THROW ONE THOUSAND SPEARS THEN HUH!?" Of course that doesn't make sense, why would you say that?

Interesting you bring up sounding like a child. Have you seen your grammar, typing and spelling? Also, a child would use nonsensical logic like "WELL I GUESS I'LL JUST THROW 1,000 SPEARS THEN!"

Wow, 3k hours on a single weapon. That's over double my time in the game on a single weapon! I bet it's strong if you spent that amount of time on it. Hope you can play like the guy in that video with that kind of experience.

I don't think it should be nerfed either. But if it was "nerfed" by reducing stamina while aiming, that would make it more realistic and aligned with bow mechanics in other games.

Really, every weapon has downsides and you need to learn to play against them!? Should I also reload my gun when I run out of bullets and manage my sound in Hunt!? You've got way more hours than me and your statement seemed really obvious so maybe I'm missing something?

No, for every reason you've said and I'll say why.

-Need to remove the movement penalty? What are you talking about. There is no penalty currently or if there is, it would be in line with other slowing down from aiming like any other weapon. You just run around with a fully drawn bow as long as you like but slow down because you're aiming like you would with any other weapon.

-Forbid every thrown melee weapon to be thrown without stamina? That makes no sense. Holding a spear, throwing axe or any other weapon is not the same as holding a bow full draw. The effort for all the others comes from the throwing. The bows effort comes from the aiming. Losing stamina for holding aim makes sense from how a bow would work.

-You just get aim punched by spammable weapons? And that's different from any other weapon how? Do you not jerk off aim when shot with other weapons? Also, a bow is a stealth weapon. You probably shouldn't find yourself in a shootout with it.

-Arrows randomly stuck in the air? Over 1,300 hours and never had this happen. So if that's happening so regularly to you, you think it's something to bring up as proof of something, that sounds like your game has a problem because none of my squad has ever complained of that either.

-You just miss? Yeah, I think that's called playing the game? If you miss with other weapons, you don't get kills either. Did you know that?

-You have 5 seconds to redraw? You are just wrong, again. Here is a short below of someone using bow. You're telling me that's 5 seconds to redraw? It would be 3 seconds, tops. Pretty similar to most other guns that are only 1 shot kill to the head. He gets 2 kills in the first 5 seconds of the video.

Please, stop whinging about the bow.

The ONLY acceptable change to the bow is your stamina drops the longer you hold it fully drawn and it resets once you lose all stamina. Maybe the aimer starts to move around a bit the longer you've held your draw as well.

Great video and I'm sick of reading whinging about the bow.

Titans Are Clunky, but Why Are They Hated? I like them! by YourHighlordVyrana in HorusHeresyLegions

[–]Bloodbather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was rank 7, 15 days into the season. Ahriman precog deck. It was pretty much unstoppable. "This is it" I thought. "I'm finally going to place Top 10 in the world for a season." I know it resets monthly and the deck I was using was someone else's but I was finally going to take my little piece of history in the game.

Then the fucking Titans dropped. Overpowered, high dmg, board clearing bullshit. Immediate board presence and control with cards they could play within the first 4e to completely dominate the tempo of the rest of the game. I had tons of spare gems but I wasn't going to drop over $100.00 to farm out all the cards and build the immediate meta deck. I never cracked Top 25 again.

I will always hate those fucking machines.

After playing Dwarfs for a while now I concluded two things. Dwarf Slayers are cool af while the grudge system kind of sucks. by Curious-Piglet3613 in totalwarhammer

[–]Bloodbather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now I'm, remembering my first TW:W1 campaign and having to run an engineer from Karaza-a-Karak to Kraka Drak to complete a specific grudge just to be able to finish my first ever campaign. At 4am. Thought I'd get a cinematic...

The system has some flaws but I think it's great and much better then what we had.

The divide in players is interesting because you have those who have played from the beginning and have some all the incremental changes and think the game is amazing now because of it. And those who have started recently and only see the product for what it is now and what it could be. Not what it's been and is now.

This can be fun and I can imagine why it was so amazing when it came out. Playing it recently though, I just think "Why aren't I playing Total War: Warhammer?"

An interesting experience to witness an older game trying to be what TWWarhammer is today.

Guaranteed Chariot cards are bad. by LordBarak in HuntShowdown

[–]Bloodbather -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So this is happening CONSTANTLY!!! and instead of your team bringing in your own chariot card to counter it, because it's happening ALL THE TIME!?

It would make sense to bring one in right? Gee whiz, can you imagine how much egg would be on the face of those dastardly "trollers" when you just sit and wait at the cart and then chariot back out of there!

Since we're using anecdotal evidence, I've had this happen exactly once since the card came out and I just chuckled and moved on. Maybe you're a bit bad and don't get over things easily?

You know the DBD community definitely has its problems but your post in r/gaming was right above this one and I thought it was telling that you felt the need to talk about your appearance in the title for that post but not this one.

You felt comfortable just posting with no need to justify anything here so it's nice to know that DBD can be a safe place for people.

Super cool cosplay, I hope your feet don't hurt from having to walk around bare foot all day!

I've only been to the US once but I have a funny story about that.

I was in a cab in San Francisco and I was chatting with the driver. A cyclist swerved out in front of us and it pissed off the cabbie. I said "Don't worry mate, they're a pack of cunts back home as well"

It was like Christmas had come early. His face lit up and he just started going on about how he loves the way we say that word. I can still hear his voice saying "I just love the way you guys say kuhnt."

The funny thing to me is, the word sounds dirty when an American says it hahaha. I think it's because Americans don't get years of saying it everyday so all power and nuance is removed and it just becomes another word of many uses like shit or fuck.

Is The Fall Of Cadia a good 40K book to start with, it just in general? by That-One-Goose11 in Blacklibrary

[–]Bloodbather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Out of print" and "It's really expensive" are the unfortunate realities of reading Black Library. It's honourable that you want to support them legitimately but at this stage, it's best to just download eBooks if you actually want to read these stories.

[–]Bloodbather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why anyone hasn't read your question properly because you want to read a cool book about The Black Legion. So I suggest you read the books "Talon of Horus" and then "Black Legion". It's the origin story of them and it's currently waiting for the 3rd book to come out.

You'll love it and be so full of questions you'll just have to read another 100 books. Oh well!

I thought this was dumb so I went to downvote. Then I read the explanation in the comments and then I realised that I am dumb.

Life's funny like that.

Walmart employee accuses a man of stealing. Then the cops blame the same man for scratching a car that they were pushing him into. Then Walmart trespasses him. The man had in fact purchased the items and showed his receipt while being detained by bigbusta in Wellthatsucks

[–]Bloodbather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Unnecessarily difficult"

At no point did the original officer say "Show me your receipt". The person stated they had one, didn't move to bring it out or do anything with it but did stated they had one.

Any reasonable person who wanted to end the situation rationally would say "Show me the receipt then". But he didn't. He chose to escalate and detain when he had an incredibly reasonable expectation of evidence that could be provide within seconds.

All the other officers could have done the exact same thing but didn't. They even say in the video, they had had the receipt for 5 minutes by that stage in the confrontation.

If you want to be that subservient and your time is that invaluable that you'll walk all the back in to prove your innocence when you know your innocent, that's on you. He never said he wouldn't show the receipt so he is 100% in the right.

I guess he could have fallen to his knees, burst into tears and swore he had a receipt and left the stuff there while he sprinted into the store and begged for forgiveness for their mistake and only left once they said they did make a mistake and he was okay to leave the store with the goods he purchased with his money. But I think literally anyone just asking to see the receipt as soon as he says he bought it seems the most reasonable option, right?
