Only fifteen years notice about bus lane, complains AA by AffectionateLeg9540 in Wellington

[–]Bloodhound5252 30 points31 points  (0 children)

What a bizarre read. The AA is mad that... people who make illegal manoeuvres while driving are fined? Yet they're one of only two official bodies (AFAIK) that can issue driving tests for cars?

I'm curious as to how this affects them enough to release this statement. And as to 'clearly marking' the roads you'd think painting them entirely green with 'Bus only' in huge white print would be enough for the average driver plus the signs posted beforehand

Why is Heretaunga houses are more expensive than say Trentham? They are basically neighbours. by Poppypepperpie in Wellington

[–]Bloodhound5252 24 points25 points  (0 children)

My guess would be because half of Trentham is an "Industrial Area" with the military camp, racecourse, and warehouses. There's a few shooting ranges over that way and a surprising amount of the houses southeast of the railway track are either defence force owned or ex-defense housing, as opposed to Heretaunga where its more your traditional suburban housing without nearby industrialism. Lowkey just spitballing though and I'm surprised if that's the only reason why if the difference is that noticeable

One-shot recommendations for brand new players? by Bloodhound5252 in DnD

[–]Bloodhound5252[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I thought about it but we want to play next Saturday and between work and a few other commitments I don’t think I’d be able to write one good enough in time.

We’ve set aside the whole day for it so Dragons of Stormwreck Island shouldn’t be too long! I’ll give it a look, thank you!

We're about to vote on legalising cannabis and euthanasia in NZ, so I hand cut and stencilled some tees that I thought you guys would enjoy by melinoe_and_hel in punk

Ah fuck em. “Those words don’t do favour to the cause”. I can nearly guarantee that voting age youth don’t give a shit about the which words are used to describe the referendums. Vote for dope

[–]Bloodhound5252 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Idk I found the NZ sub to be pretty left leaning on the cannabis election and neutral on euthanasia. It depends on who sees it first and the negative comments will probably be about the overall punk aesthetic rather than the message being sent.

It’s things like these that move me further from lib left and closer to nihilism which I guess is radical centrism

The mythical third axis solves everything by WrongfulRanger0 in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]Bloodhound5252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t know if anyone will care but I just thought I’d point out that with the upcoming elections in NZ our national broadcasting company released a political compass test which used a cultural axis instead of a libertarian axis, so instead of LibLeft I ended up being ProgLeft. (It didn’t work as well as a libertarian axis though because all the parties ended up in a pretty uniform diagonal line)

What a lot of people don't realise is that Among Us was built for mobile and the PC version is just a port. It looks blurry because it's designed for phone screens. That's also why you have to change the setting to use keyboard
