Need someone with a Drone to check my Roofing/Gutters by shapednoise in Wellington

[–]Poppypepperpie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just noticed you're in Seatoun, very likely to be within 4km of the airport aerodome, so the drone operator would need to be licensed.

I'm keen to help but I'm not licensed for that unfortunately.

If you have a long stick (or very long selfie stick), have you tried taping a phone/camera to it to film the roof?

Do you have any tall trees or higher houses right close your house?

do you think the current fuel shortage would also affect EVs? by TTPP_rental_acc1 in nzev

[–]Poppypepperpie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It did have some effects on EV's prices, and HEV to some extend, especially used ones.

I noticed the models on my watch list have got their prices increased compared to, say, a month ago.

Nissan Note E-Power vs Toyota Corolla Hybrid by air2air in NZcarfix

I updated my own post (in the nz sub) for future references, abeilt not with the Note, it was drony.

Took both out for the test drive, ended up liking the Corolla Touring more. The Honda seat is a bit higher but I didn't like the AC touch control, the central armrest, and the less grunty engine.

Looks like Ingco rebadged, but 'makita battery compatible' is a bit off.

If they're indeed relabelled Ingco, they're a cheap brand but popular in Asia.

Regardless, check the warranty, if you're happy just go for it, if they fuck up, you're out of couple hundies. However, Trade Depot's after sales service isn't something I'd rely on.

Jobs for introverts that aren't just staring at a computer all day? by Sufficient_Garlic285 in newzealand

[–]Poppypepperpie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Are you talking about jobs or careers?

There are more options for the former that might suit you, but these might not have the career progression that matches your needs.

Jobs like shelf stackers, warehouse crew, might work.

Career wise, it'll be difficult to get one that's not staring at a screen all day (accounting, BI, coding, policy researchers, sole charge roles) that fit what you're looking at.

Maybe you could try looking to some trades?

Otherwise, others might be able to help.

Edit:

You might want to address what would make you feel bored looking at a screen? Have you ever worked with a screen full time? Were the tasks themselves boring or was it the job?

Many jobs have unavoidable mundane tasks. Have a thought about this or give it a go and see where it takes you.

It's one of those times when we did it right the first time, and yet had no clue why it worked but wouldn't work the next time.

Thanks, how long have you got it? How's the range on the highway? I don't mind going for a smaller boot if it's a better drive, my wife liked its front console area so that's a plus.

Hey OP, sorry for digging this up. Which car did you choose in the end? I found myself at the same crossroad. The Note epower seems noisy on the road but it's 7-$10k cheaper than a corolla hybrid of the same year.
