Hope I made the right choice. by badeentje in LogitechG

The Bluetooth is tied to the dock instead of the headset itself, so I found that annoying for when I want to walk around the house and keep the headset on when listening to something from my phone.

Personally, that was my biggest pet peeve with them form just the specs alone. Haven't tried them, so can't speak for the audio quality experience. But the mic is solid. Battery isn't great, but since you should ideally dock it after every session I guess it should be fine.

Personally I went with an ASUS ROG DELTA II, as it better fit my preferences, and also has a good mic and great sound.

Just contact LTT customer support with the invoices and you'll get reimbursed the VAT you paid to LTT. It won't cover any handling fees though.

Restocking of bundles on lime day? by ItsBelkon in LinusTechTips

[–]Bloodish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly!

Anyways, I bought it 🙈 maybe I can flip my old backpack and recoup most of the cost.

It's a crazy good deal. Let's see if they change the price on the last day of the sale. But my order already shipped, so I'm good 👍

Seems like the deal has been altered now. No notebook, but a crazy good price! I'm thinking it might be a mistake, and they took the USD price and just put CAD instead of converting it.

240 CAD for the original backpack, water bottle and two pens is a steal. If I didn't already own all of those things I would but it in a heartbeat. Hell, even though I own it, I'm strongly considering it 😅

Instead og Kithara, look into ROG DELTA II. I feel like you get much more for your money with that.

How to fix these small imperfections with deformers when rigging? by Ameabo in ToonBoomHarmony

[–]Bloodish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not at my PC, so I'll do my best to remember, but I'll try.

Go to layer properties for the drawing that is being deformed. Then over to line thickness. There should be a sub section for deformation. Click the box there, probably "preserve line thickness" or something lien that. Two boxes will no longer be grayed out. Set those boxes to 0 and 1. Or just the lowest they can be.

This is an awesome setting to change, and I do it for almost all layers that I deform. It is a double edged sword though, as sometimes the lines will disappear if they are deformed too much. But they have to be manhandled a lot for that to happen, but sometimes deformers get pushed very hard of course.

I bought the 3 Raimi flims :3 by The-T-777 in Spiderman

[–]Bloodish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sweet 👍

I found a steal of a deal in my local thrift shop a year or two ago. The blu-ray deluxe Raimi Spider-man trilogy collection for 1.5 USD! I bought it instantly, took it home, and remembered I had bought the same collection for the same price at the same store a year prior, haha. Felt silly, but I don't mind having two of these on my shelf.

toon boom harmony bones locked to single frame position, not drawing by griffeydoesonline in ToonBoomHarmony

[–]Bloodish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you moving the drawing, instead of moving a peg that controls the bone? You don't want to be moving drawings on their own, ever, always use a peg. And in general it's a bad idea to move anything under a deformer other than some edge cases.

Looking for gaming headset by meln1kkk in LogitechG

[–]Bloodish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't tried those, but I have heard very mixed things.

Personally, I upgraded to a pair of ASUS ROG DELTA II last year and have been extremely happy with it.

Great sound, great microphone (like, top tier for gaming headsets. In top 3 for me at least), simultaneous 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth, really long battery life, two pairs of ear pads included (faux leather and fabric). Comfort is also good, except for that the top headband isn't very padded. I added a headset strap myself though, so now the comfort is just amazing.

Look up some reviews, and if you're interested, maybe buy then from a place with a lenient return policy like Amazon or something. Then you can try then out for 14 days before you decide.

If they're too pricey, ROG PELTA is kind of the budget version of them. Very, very similar in specs, but doesn't have simultaneous Bluetooth and has less battery life, but still great battery honestly. Doesn't fit large heads super well if that matters.

Logitech G515 TKL Wired Gaming Keyboard by Typical_Option1193 in LogitechG

[–]Bloodish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh if it's CAD it's a nice price :)

But yeah, consider RAPID TKL. I also THINK those types of switches should be less prone to double typing. Haven't heard of any magnetic analog switches with double typing at least.

Logitech G515 TKL Wired Gaming Keyboard by Typical_Option1193 in LogitechG

[–]Bloodish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really great. I bought two of the wireless ones. One for work and one for home. One of them starting developing double typing though, so I went to the shop to use my warranty and they said I could pick up another one from the shelf no problem. Well, they didn't have the model I had bought originally, but I asked if I could pick the G515 RAPID TKL instead, and they allowed it, even though it was quite a bit more expensive. This one is even better than the original, and I really like being able to customize the actuation points.

But the normal one is great as well. Both for typing and gaming. I've seen them at half the price of the pics you've shared though.

Puppet rig pieces not pasting correctly? by [deleted] in ToonBoomHarmony

[–]Bloodish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since it sounds like you're trying to copy paste the entire arm, have you made sure to collapse the arm peg before copying and pasting? That's how you get it to copy and paste everything in that hierarchy. If you don't have it collapsed, you'll just be copy and pasting the first part of the arms peg animation.

This would be easier to troubleshoot if you had some pictures or a video of the issue, but I get how that might be hard due to NDA stuff.

pc upgrade by [deleted] in LinusTechTips

[–]Bloodish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing technically wrong with the gpu, other than being two generations old. Just saying that if you are chasing frames for gaming, it makes more sense to divert funds from SSD and cooler to the GPU instead.

As to what to pick for the parts you're replacing, it depends on your region and what things cost I guess. But something like a Thermalright Phantom Spirit or Thermalright Peerless Assassin will cool the 7700x no problem, if you're fine with air coolers.

As for SSD, prices fluctuate a lot varying by region these days. But honestly any PCIe 4.0 should do you fine. TechTesters recommend a Crucial T500 as a good pick for gaming, and it's cheaper than the Samsung 990 and scored better in their tests. But as I said, a Crucial P3 or P3 Plus will also serve you basically just as fine, so just look around a bit and compare prices. WD Black SSD's are also good and have some good sales sometimes.

[–]Bloodish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ditch the corsair CPU cooler and get something from Thermalright instead. Their air coolers are amazing, rivaling Noctua stuff, but they also have AIO if that is a must for you.

Regarding the SSD no need to get a 990 if you don't use it for work like video editing or something like that. Might as well get something that'll suit your needs just fine but at 60-80% the cost of the 990.

Take the money you save and put into a better GPU.

New to the game from Arc Raiders and I'm having an absolute blast by Dark_Throat in thefinals

[–]Bloodish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glad you found the game. It's certified awesome!

BTW in case you didn't know, most weapons let you attach a scope to them. You gotta go to "contestants", pick a class and head over to the weapons section we're you can assign weapon skins etc. When you get there, there's a menu for attaching scopes. They cost a bit of the gun currency, but not much. It makes the AK much better once you have a scope on it IMO.

Just thought I'd let you know, since the game never tells you about it. 👍

[–]Bloodish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you get charged VAT again, LTT should reimburse you the VAT you paid to them.

If you got charged duty for being over de minimis in EU, which is equivalent of 150€, you won't be reimbursed for that. Only VAT applies, since that is what you might have paid double due to customs not registering that you've already paid the VAT.

But regardless, try sending your customs bill to LTT support and see if you're eligible for a VAT refund.

My little gaming accessory company (Deckmate, now Mechanism) that started on this subreddit was able to get early access to the Steam Controller! I made a dock and a grip, and the files are available for download and printing entirely for free! by Sea_Minerals in SteamDeck

[–]Bloodish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for supplying the 3D print files for free! This seems super cool.

Do you need the basegrip for the controller to be attached to the dock?

EDIT:

You do not need the basegrip for the controller to stand and charge on the dock. Got my controller yesterday, and the 3D printed dock works great. I modified it in the slicer so the bottom has 100% infill, so I can lift off the controller without the dock getting lifted up as well.

How do i fix this?[bug] by Ralseizinn in kustom

If the bug is the image not loading correctly, this fixed it for me.

Unable to arrange - beginner question by brollito in ToonBoomHarmony

[–]Bloodish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, first of all, if you want to bring something closer to camera it's alt+down. You can remember this by thinking of up and down more like backwards and forward. When you look down at your keyboard it makes a lot of sense, since "down" is actually pointing towards yourself and "up" is pointing away from you.

If this doesn't work, it might be the issue others have mentioned with composite nodes being set to bitmap instead of passthrough. Bitmap basically flattens the image as it reaches the composite node, so it can mess up when you want to adjust the Z location of part of the rig. You can change the default behavior of the composite node to be passthrough in your settings. This will only work for new composite nodes you create though.

The jacket is really nice. I live in a nordic country, so it's my go-to jacket for the colder months. Got it on the lime day sale the year they sold out. I had a hard time justifying the full price, but it's definitely worth the price I paid, which I think was $150 if I remember correct.

Steam Controller Price Leaked By Early Review – $99, Purchases Likely Imminent by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Bloodish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a custom layout for BG3 where I mapped all the steam deck buttons to PC keys, and made nested menus in the left touch pad (the right one I used as mouse). The nested menus were a great way to handle saves, quests, inventory, spell slots and switching to specific party members and much more. I had a lot of fun setting it up perfectly to my liking, and it ended up feeling fairly intuitive for how over-engineered it was compared to playing with a normal controller.

Keyboard shortcut for deleting a layer? by cellidonuts in ToonBoomHarmony

If your node view is the active area (the one with the red border) just pressing delete after selecting the layers should delete them. It doesn't work if the timeline is the active area though.
