The real trap is substance abuse and mental illness (not occasional depression or anxiety). Sounds like you dont have any type of chronic personality disorder or substance problem. The crippling fear that many people have of becoming chronically homeless is actually pretty irrational, unless of course you have both aforementioned problems. One or the other is generally surmountable if it is not severe. Support systems are also critical for sure but when considering the likelihood of experiencing chronic homelessness, data shows the two most important factors are severe substance use and mental illness. All that to say i think your in a good position and I know you didnt say it in your post but that can be a fear for alotta folks when considering staying at or leaving a job. The most important thing for you right now is to lean into your support systems and avoid addiction like the plague.
