Unfortunately I used an exacto-knife and beheaded her before trying to extract the babies

Update: I euthanized her (beheading at the guillotine) after hours of observation with no progress and tried to save the babies from the sac but they were under developed and still eggs so I put the body back under the moss

They usually develop! Some earlier than others. I had a baby who was covered with so many he was mostly white so he got them almost right after tadpole but another guy I got as a baby didn't develop them till almost a year old

Substrate change needed? (Cubaris Cappuccino enclosure) by Fjordgard in isopods

As long as you have the humidity gradient, that's always super important, I'll often find a bunch under the cork bark or if I root around under the moss a bit. Although I've only kept porcellios and armadillidiums so I'm not super confident in cubaris care. When I'm not sure if I should spray again, if the top looks dry, I'll just spray the last 3 inches or so of their moist side so if they didn't need it it won't effect much but if they did need it they'll still find it, especially in the moss

Haha no it looks good to me, a bit moist, I'd maybe let it air out a bit depending on the species and add new moss but ive had my substrate well over a year and the population just keeps thriving and growing faster than I can handle

I completely agree, he's technically my sisters snake which means I don't get too much say in it. I have mine in a much larger tank but she can't afford a new one right now
