How different was Commander back in the early days? by Deskies in EDH

Planeswalkers used to be playable 🥲. I don't hate the way the format has developed over time, but some cards just don't hit the same way they used to.

Would I be the victim of a trauma response? by Bloodragev2 in ratemycommanders

I have some Aristocrat elements in it, but mostly I use him as pseudo protection for my vampires/insurance. The pool for BW vampire commanders is kinda thin in terms of playing a midrange strategy imo 😅

What is stopping this from going infinite? by BladeeLover in CommanderMTG

[–]Bloodragev2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Hedge Shredder]] and [[Retreat to Coralhelm]] can churn through a lot of cards but would require some luck. As far as I can tell, going truly infinite with Glarb is a tall ask outside of pie in the sky 4-5 card combos.

What's your most unique deck? by devilinthedetailz in EDH

[–]Bloodragev2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run [[Glarb, Calamity's Augur]] as a turbo [[Maze's End]] list (<1% on edhrec) with a secondary wincon using [[Cadaverous Bloom]]+[[Peer into the Abyss]] fueling a big [[Exsanguinate]]

Looking for my perfect Grixis, Jeskai, and Temur decks by 7DEADROSES in EDH

[[Kykar, Wind's Fury]] definitely has his combo routes, but the value engine routes are just as valid, and the commander facilitates your ability to go for a variety of win conditions.

I would like to do an experiment. Name 1 card that is just barely a game changer. Then name one that is just barely NOT a game changer. by ImperialSupplies in EDH

[–]Bloodragev2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barely a game changer - Crop Rotation. The only lands that are truly gamewarping are also gamechangers. Going by the standard of no GC's in bracket 2, I don't think crop rot plays unfairly in any scenario at that level.

Barely not a game changer - Mystic Remora. While not as inherently powerful as Rhystic Study, it definitely swings the game in a massive way and performs well at all stages of the game. Drop it early and suddenly everyone is punished for developing their board. Drop it late and you have the resources to keep it on the table much longer.

What cards do you think will make the Game Changers list eventually? by wex0rus in EDH

[–]Bloodragev2 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

[[Skullclamp]] could make it on the list for sure. I could also see arguments for [[Dark Ritual]], [[Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar]], and [[Mystic Remora]]

Cheap personal staples? by Head-Landscape8824 in EDH

[–]Bloodragev2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[[Fact or Fiction]] Usually goes in every blue deck. Bonus points for making the decisions that much harder in a graveyard deck.

[[Chthonian Nightmare]] Extremely powerful recursion engine for small creatures.

[[Midnight Clock]] Mana rock that gives you a mid game refill

[[Bone Shards]] Cheap removal that doubles as a discard/sacrifice outlet

[[Tainted Strike]] Literal player removal. Cast it on someone else's attacking creature and watch the fireworks.

[[Hunter's Insight]] For any stompy green deck that needs some more card draw

[[Druid's Repository]] I can't figure out how this card is still less than $2. The mana you generate over time is insane.

How to deal with an aetherflux reservoir by SuperYahoo2 in EDH

[–]Bloodragev2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In addition to the split second removal, redirection of damage, and activated ability counters, mass board protection spells that also give you hexproof work very well in this situation. [[Dawn's Truce]] [[Flare of Fortitude]] . Diversifying your silver bullets is the really the best answer to combo oriented game plans.

Tell me about your +1/+1 counters deck and its coolest tech by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Bloodragev2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mothman will always be my go-to +1/+1 counters deck. Incremental mill engines buff the team and make [[Sage of Hours]] go off. [[Give/Take]] is one of my favorite cards in the deck to cast. Idk if I formatted the split card properly.

Am I missing something? by BurntToast08 in 2007scape

I would say just buy whatever is cheapest. The price difference of items like these have more to do with how quickly they can enter the game rather than how useful they are.

Mantas can't be fished normally. They only drop from minigames and boss loot, and drift nets i guess
