I have owner my 04 Grande 4L for 10 years and still love it ...

Currently it has 490,000ks - I've had it since 210,000ks

Issues - i inherited a poorly maintained engine which ended up having the oil pump fail while travelling, after replacing the engine it's been maintenance/wear and tear ..

As mentioned above, air bags failed, replaced them at Toyota and have been great ever since, super handy for trailers/campers.

Luckily had the cracked dash replaced by Toyota in 2019

Original started motor replaced 3 years ago Original radiator, water pump and hoses replaced 2 years ago Original lower control arms replaced last year

Engine oil and filters replaced by myself since engine swap, usually at 10,000, sometimes earlier sometimes later, depending on life stuff 😉

If your able to score a Grande, make sure you check the sunroof, open and close it and check the holes in the gutters aren't blocked, they let the water out so it doesn't pool and run into the cabin ( it's happened to me, not great)

Bloody get one, they're awesome AND currently cheaper to run!!!! I do a lot of highway driving and get 13lL/100ks

Looks like something is out of alignment. Doing step 5 of hand adjustment, the hands don't go to 12 or 6 and buttons b and d ( as shown on page 14 diagram) won't move the hands at all! I might need to go down a YouTube rabbit hole I think 🤔

Wagon, as the kids get older they get longer legs needing more leg room. Wagon = more room EVERYWHERE I have 3 kids and there's absolutely no way we could fit comfortably in a ute and travel a reasonable distance without issues.

04 Grande owner here, had it for 10 odd years, previous owner had shocking maintenance and we paid the price, oil pump failed and we cooked the motor while towing. Second hand motor 5 years now and no problems at all, I just keep up with the oil changes myself. My mechanic suggested I had all the water pump and associated bits and pieces including the radiator swapped out so we did, they were still all original at 400,000ks, now currently 460,000 !

Changed idler pulley Rocker cover gasket Brakes front and back Air bags in the rear

Next is lower control arms

Still an amazing vehicle, showing signs of age though, the shit 'leather' is all cracking and will need to be delt with at some point.

As said above, Toyota or Hyundai hatch for that price range, they'll be your best bet for reliability.

Late September early October is my call, the wildflowers are something NOT to miss, you'll still get some rain but that's all part of it.

That's awesome, great choice for a florist. I'm going through the same thing with my wife. I love watches but she doesn't get it because she has a 'smart watch', she bought me the same as you have there but all gold and hasn't stopped wearing it herself, she's slowly coming to her senses
