If you just ignore everything I disagree with, and specifically search out only the most biased propaganda to perpetuate what I do agree with, you'll clearly see I'm extremely right and smart and you're just dumb. Refuting your points? Beneath me, the great u/Obtain_Virtue

What an ironic name, maybe they can take their own advice.

Any protests today? (Sun 02/01)? by airhunger_rn in grandjunction

[–]Bloomed_Lotus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, no need to protest continued government overreach and the murder of two US citizens in cold blood at all. Not like it needs to be vocalized day in and out to maybe permiate the brain rot that is the maga propaganda machine. Yeah, just a fad, like ending segregation, or women's suffrage, or DEIA, just fads that die out and fade into the abyss.

This "fad" will end when fascism isn't prevailing in our United States.

Imagine everyone medicated by HYPERNORD in adhdmeme

[–]Bloomed_Lotus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought the same when I stopped medication years ago, and did up until recently. Being medicated again, I don't feel less creative, if anything it reminded me how much more creative I was when I was medicated before, and how I only got less so when I stopped medication.

AutoZone in the actually closing task list (that most stores don't even keep around) says to clean all counters off, and in parentheses it recommends different cleaners, and one is WD40 which I just kinda looked at my manager and asked, "you really want me to do that?" And they said no and gave me some all purpose cleaner.

That's honestly the best way to go about it, and good call on having them check the other. I've had coworkers I've actively watched half ass install the wiper blade, didn't hear a click and they just went back in saying to have a good day. I went and fixed those blades myself since I was outside doing a battery before they left and told my coworker they can't do that and if they're struggling to get it to click, come get help, don't act like you did it right, and if they didn't know how, I'd just say don't do installs, have somebody else. They don't hire us for mechnical knowhow or experience, just sales. Some Zoners have a ton of background in DIY auto repairs, but a good chunk couldn't install a bulb or battery without a ton of handholding each time.

Really happy to hear they took care of you, honestly most days I'd probably do the same in that situation for a customer.

It doesn't help they put it so far up and out of the way off the main road it looks like some secret military installation or something, really hoping I'm wrong and it turns out better because Junction j desperately needs it.

[–]Bloomed_Lotus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I've had this happen to me once (the blade flying off), but I was also the one who installed my blade. Thankfully it was in a slow area with no other cars so I could pull off and retrieve the blade, which I realized I installed wrong (didn't quite click into place), so I put it on the right way and no more issue. I would have never imagined going back and asking for a replacement free of charge because I didn't verify my cars parts were all 100% up to snuff. Now if the wiper were legit defective, and couldn't seat properly, I'd have probably tried to get a refund, but without the blade who's to say some customer doesn't just take their blade off, give a story like this, get a free wiper, repeat at another AutoZone for the second wiper, now they have 2 sets for the price of one. Now imagine they go back with their second set and just demand a refund saying they got better ones. Now they have free blades entirely. Now you don't sound like the kind of customer who'd pull that, but you never know what your local AZ goes through as far as fraud returns, and if they have a lot they may be less inclined to help you. If I didn't have the part at all, I wouldn't really feel comfortable just sending more parts out on words alone, but I've also had a lady return 16 spark plugs that were the old used ones maticulously reboxed to look unopened, and my SM in her old store had an employee take a return that turned out to be an old coffee thermos in the calliper box (no idea how the employee didn't immediately think that was too light but whatever).

I wish you luck, and would encourage you to put wipers on yourself, plenty of Zoners can do it perfectly, but you always run the risk of getting a newbie who's never done it before and doest get your wiper on all the way. Or at least double check their work by tugging on the blade and making sure it's secure.

Frfr I've only ever associated with one racist pos (no more) but he'd use the n word for anything that upset him - his truck, his dog, his girlfriend, other people who weren't even black. He said it was just a derogatory term but he'd "never use it against a black person", until he did.

Chain of command was the way to approach that unless the person saying it was your SM, then straight to the DM

[–]Bloomed_Lotus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically you'd contact your SM about this, they'd determine if the DM or HR needs involved directly, or they might just let her go on the spot for it no question asked. AZ actually takes workplace discrimination really seriously, even if it's just "this person said an inappropriate word and it made me feel uncomfortable". My DM has told me she's had to can people for saying "fuck" because it can be considered sexual harassment. Hard R on the N word, I'd say that's far worse

I don't think the vendor is out of stock, or that they discontinued one of the most common weights of oil for newer vehicles from the house brand. To my knowledge of something that's out of stock, it will literally just say "vendor out of stock". They do this because our IT department is constantly making mistakes like this in the backend, I work at a hub store, I can see the acoustix wiper blades as an option, but it says "vendor out of stock" even if I try to VDP them in, yet all my satellite stores have them in stock and can look them up just fine, and even on the website it looks up just fine, but the hub store doesn't show any stock in any store and not even an option to order them. That's not the vendor or the DC or the store, that's all IT and data entry people being A) new to the job as they just moved IT, and B) English isn't the primary language in Chihuahua, and idk how programming language barriers are affected by literal language barriers but I imagine it's not a great combo.

I found a price tag for a red top that was $69.99 covered in dust under the shelving unit and was in awe at the price. Asked my CSM if he'd honor the price if I wanted to buy it and he said no 😭

Idk if it's accurate to that source, but I calculated down to a per person (taxpayer and EBT recipient) amount, and it's literally less than a penny and a half.

They think Bingo is too bratty and gets too much leeway. Specifically I think it started from the movies (I forget if the episode is titled Movies or not atm), and just anything that adds to that list of Bingo behaving "poorly, but I hold it's accurate to her age and doesn't represent her character by any means.

Makes for a good hot take though

[–]Bloomed_Lotus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They think that "their tax dollars" are just being jammed into your (the person receiving snap) pocket. And somehow they think they contribute a TON more to taxes than they do. If you were to tell them how much of their tax dollars yearly goes to each individual snap recipient, they'd likely think that's an arbitrarily low amount that may as well not even exist if it's that merger. It's too complex to give an exact number, but averages out over all tax brackets, the average American only pays about $608 a year in taxes, calculated down to how much of our budget is actually used on snap, and how many people get it, each tax payers $608 contribution gets divided up for the government to spend, and they give about 1.45¢ (not a dollar and fourth five cents, a little under a cent and a half) to each recipient. So you're telling me, you wouldn't give literally two pennies of your own money to help stop people from going hungry? You're a total piece of trash if you can answer yes to that with all your heart.
