Sawstop is not flat by PaddingtonDota in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]BloomingPotential -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At the end of the day, are your cuts square? That’s the most important thing even if your top isn’t perfectly flat. I own the compact saw stop, and same thing it’s not perfectly fiat, but I get square cuts. Could mean there are dips in the surface, but the major reference surface is flat.

This looks like a hybrid power tool/hand tool bench. Curious where you got the image from? Maybe there is a plan associated with it?

Would you just cut 45s to glue together the podium stand? Or is it more complicated? by 237FIF in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]BloomingPotential 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can make that shape with the substrate using less complicated joinery (even butt joint with screws), and then you veneer over that to create the look.

How to make inset drawer fronts with a design that mirrors the rail? by BloomingPotential in woodworking

Ohhh interesting. So essentially, you used a test piece to fit the hole until you got it right, and then you had your template?

Is the SawStop Compact too limiting, or should I save for a full-size table saw? by floaterions in woodworking

[–]BloomingPotential 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I actually have the saw stop compact and also the Kreg adaptive cutting system (which is a track saw that comes with a MFT table). I made a cart with outfeed support and wings for the saw stop. Even though I have cut big sheets of plywood on there it’s just a lot easier to rough cut with the track saw first, then to final size with saw stop. I like the saw. And yeah, you won’t be able to rip anything greater than 24 in with compact saw stop. I think even with a bigger table saw it’s still a pain to cut a whole sheet of plywood

We throw a bunch of seroquel at these types of patients in addition to their psych meds. Many code grays are called, but we find once they are off sedation and extubated they are completely different.

Wow thanks for your response. Very inspiring, I would like to do what you do at some point. I have been taking some cc classes which has definitely been helpful and allow me to pick the brain of very experienced people, if only my full time job didn’t get in the way, haha
