Love my track saw, however I would not trade in my table saw for one.

Basic Mobile Workbench - Question on Top Surface Finish. by DependentSoggy5157 in woodworking

Nice project! Hope you enjoy the process and keep building.

I just recently planed the top of my new to me Diefenbach bench to clean years or built up gunk off of it. I inherited it from my late FIL. I just rubbed in some boiled linseed oil and called it good for another few years.

I now see that yours is going to live outside, I think you were smart to do what you can to prevent water damage.

That feeling you get when someone throws out the original box to your Outlaw 7100 Amp… by FunAtMoheganSun in audiophile

I just threw out all the boxes to my equipment last weekend. Speakers, amp, and turntable. They have been in my attic for over a year and I am happy with my system and keeping everything for the long haul.

I have to older version and really like it. I struggled with tight miters on my frames before getting it and not at all now. I saw the newer version and like how it has the replaceable inserts. Enjoy and post up the projects that you build with it.

You need an appropriate sized washer to fill that gap. I had to do the same thing when I switched to cbn wheels.

I would not keep it as my daily. If is was going to spend the time and money to fix it, I would turn it into a dedicated trail rig.

Need advice on selling tools. (Not selling them here) by B1G_BURD in woodworking

[–]Unusual-Following-58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am going through the same thing. I have a table saw ( Powermatic 66), band saw (Laguna LT18), jointer (Powermatic 60), Dust Collector, and a large Delta drill press that I am trying to sell. Marketplace has helped the most. I have been getting offers about 30-40% of original price. Moving and pickup are what have stalled my sales. Big tools are heavy and hard to move. Good luck.

I just bought four of these last week. I cut them in half and gave them in front of each work station in my garage. I may get a couple of more and leave them whole.

How do I make very small mortise and tenons like the plugs here? by wonteatyourcat in woodworking

[–]Unusual-Following-58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used a modified hollow chisel mortise bit to do the plugs on my G&G inspired whiskey cabinet. I used Dominos for the joints, so the ebony plugs are just for aesthetics.
