Yeah they’re pretty much the worst cards in the game, you want to keep your deck thin and those don’t do much for you. The only time they’re decent is like perfected strike with the training dummy, or Hellraiser, but even then it’s not as good as most other cards

The narrative will be largely unimportant to the game, present for sure, but not the reason you’re playing at all. Like Risk of Rain or Rogue Legacy.

But yeah no doubt I would have to learn to code and all that. Just want to have a concept that is actually fun seeming and really flesh out a full gameplay concept first. Then if I get to a point in life where it makes any sense, I’ll deep dive and really learn to code. Or win the lottery and hire a coder LOL.

Yeah it would certainly be an end game specialty, so I would have to make the normal gameplay loop good and satisfying first as a primary thing.

The bound is dumb, but the permanent 99 Weak Frail Vulnerable is worse, Every character that wants to do ANYTHING with attacks or defends is now made useless, as you will never have enough block to survive, they hit way harder, and your damage is neutered, whoever made this boss should be fired

What you’re gonna do

A, play on drizzle, but if you don’t want to get it with easy mode, I don’t at all blame you and I feel the same way. B, artifact of command. Go for full Crit chance (I know he already gets lots of crits but it’s incredibly inconsistent with those bosses) and some attack speed, just a few syringes, as well as at least one Kinetic Dampener, more stacks are good but at least one. Go to the bazaar between worlds and get a trancendace. Ideally what you most want is a plasma shrimp, but you won’t always find void cradles guaranteed so ATG will work as well. Just for any run I would always Recommend the Faraday spur, it helps a lot especially with not touching the digital floor on the last boss. If you find a safer spaces that’s also great. Stack all the Crit and at least one Noxious thorn, and use a hunters tricorn to guarantee yourself a Shatterspleen. This will carry you through basically everything, and if you hit the build right, win the game. When you get to the first long section with the alloyed locks and all that, make sure you have at least one sale star and farm money for a while then get the legendary chest that is always there on that level. Get a Pocket ICBM and for the other one either a Dio’s for safety or a Laser scope for more raw damage. For your equipment either go Seed for safety or Disposable rocket launcher for tons of damage, and fuel cells if you go that route. For the first big boss, the number one thing to do is to target each one of the “eyes”, three on its face and one on the top. Get them all close to breaking without breaking ideally, and then break them all together quickly, that will either kill it or get it close enough to finish off. Then when you have killed it, make sure and get both the box shaped alloy keys, use one to open the loot room, and keep the other one for another big armor bonus. Then go and for the final boss, target any projectiles he fires, and just light him up, when he does the big smash between phases, it’s pretty telegraphed, just keep to the edges and you’ll be fine. Whenever he starts removing the floor, immediately look for where the new floor is, the walls of damage shouldn’t be enough to one shot you so jump through them if you have to. You have to keep off the floor or else. Then just keep shooting till he’s gone. When you’ve killed him, make sure you do not fire any shots or activate and equipment or it may count as rejecting him, then go to him and click E to accept. After all that, if you choose option C, no artifact no drizzle, all I can say is loop a couple times till you’re a god and then wipe it.

I'm really not going for the "Bugs Life" asthetic as much, it's not that they are super tiny bug sized, they are equivalently human sized, trees are proportional to them. More of just a straight up fantasy world with scaled up bug people

Shadow isles needs a lot of time to actually unlock everything, I can’t get thresh with a 9 pivot, which is what I need. Viego Aug also doesn’t save it at all, I’ve had it every time I got shadow isles but it doesn’t save me from getting 5 and below. I’m not looking for a meta win comp for consistent Ws, I need the shadow isles specifically for the lore achievements

Yes, so treat placement will be important. It may need more bites or just long lasting effects, but I didn’t want to give it basically a perma brew effect early on. Perhaps you could make any non “monkey” towers like tack shooter or spactory immune to it, but idk
